Abstract

A method for displaying multimedia content includes playing multimedia content on a first device; detecting that a second device is outside of a particular distance from the first device; in response to detecting that the second device is outside of the particular distance from the first device, playing the multimedia content on the second device. A method for displaying multimedia content includes playing multimedia content on a first device; detecting that the first device is inside of a particular distance from the second device; in response to detecting that the first device is inside of the particular distance from the second device, playing the multimedia content on the second device.

Claims

1. A method, comprising:

playing multimedia content on a first device;

detecting that a second device is outside of a particular distance from the first device;

in response to detecting that the second device is outside of the particular distance from the first device, playing the multimedia content on the second device.

2. The method as recited in claim 1, wherein detecting that the second device is outside of the particular distance from the first device, comprises detecting that the second device is moved outside of the particular distance from the first device.

3. The method as recited in claim 1, further comprising in response to detecting that the second device is outside of the particular distance from the first device, stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the first device.

4. The method as recited in claim 3, wherein stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the first device and playing the multimedia content on the second device are based on a same playing position in the multimedia content.

5. The method as recited in claim 3, further comprising:

subsequent to playing the multimedia content on the second device, detecting that the second device is inside the particular distance from the first device;

in response to detecting that the second device is inside the particular distance from the first device, playing the multimedia content on the first device.

6. The method as recited in claim 1, further comprising:

subsequent to playing the multimedia content on the second device, detecting that the second device is inside the particular distance from the first device;

in response to detecting that the second device is inside the particular distance from the first device, stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the second device.

7. The method as recited in claim 1, the multimedia content is synchronously played on the first device and the second device.

8. A method, comprising:

playing multimedia content on a first device;

detecting that the first device is inside of a particular distance from the second device;

in response to detecting that the first device is inside of the particular distance from the second device, playing the multimedia content on the second device.

9. The method as recited in claim 8, wherein detecting that the first device is inside of the particular distance from the second device, comprises detecting that the first device is moved inside of the particular distance from the second device.

10. The method as recited in claim 8, further comprising in response to detecting that the first device is inside of the particular distance from the second device, stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the first device.

11. The method as recited in claim 10, wherein stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the first device and playing the multimedia content on the second device are based on a same playing position in the multimedia content.

12. The method as recited in claim 8, the multimedia content is synchronously played on the second device and the first device.

13. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions, which when executed by one or more processors perform steps comprising:

playing multimedia content on a first device;

detecting that a second device is outside of a particular distance from the first device;

in response to detecting that the second device is outside of the particular distance from the first device, playing the multimedia content on the second device.

14. The computer readable storage medium as recited in claim 13, wherein detecting that the second device is outside of the particular distance from the first device, comprises detecting that the second device is moved outside of the particular distance from the first device.

15. The computer readable storage medium as recited in claim 13, the steps further comprising in response to detecting that the second device is outside of the particular distance from the first device, stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the first device.

16. The computer readable storage medium as recited in claim 15, wherein stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the first device and playing the multimedia content on the second device are based on a same playing position in the multimedia content.

17. The computer readable storage medium as recited in claim 15, the steps further comprising:

subsequent to playing the multimedia content on the second device, detecting that the second device is inside the particular distance from the first device;

in response to detecting that the second device is inside the particular distance from the first device, playing the multimedia content on the first device.

18. The computer readable storage medium as recited in claim 13, the steps further comprising:

subsequent to playing the multimedia content on the second device, detecting that the second device is inside the particular distance from the first device;

in response to detecting that the second device is inside the particular distance from the first device, stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the second device.

19. The computer readable storage medium as recited in claim 13, the multimedia content is synchronously played on the first device and the second device.

20. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing instructions, which when executed by one or more processors perform steps comprising:

playing multimedia content on a first device;

detecting that the first device is inside of a particular distance from the second device;

in response to detecting that the first device is inside of the particular distance from the second device, playing the multimedia content on the second device.

21. The computer readable storage medium as recited in claim 20, wherein detecting that the first device is inside of the particular distance from the second device, comprises detecting that the first device is moved inside of the particular distance from the second device.

22. The computer readable storage medium as recited in claim 20, the steps further comprising in response to detecting that the first device is inside of the particular distance from the second device, stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the first device.

23. The computer readable storage medium as recited in claim 22, wherein stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the first device and playing the multimedia content on the second device are based on a same playing position in the multimedia content.

24. The computer readable storage medium as recited in claim 20, the multimedia content is synchronously played on the second device and the first device.

25. An apparatus comprising:

one or more processors;

logic configured to perform steps comprising;

playing multimedia content on a first device;

detecting that a second device is outside of a particular distance from the first device;

in response to detecting that the second device is outside of the particular distance from the first device, playing the multimedia content on the second device.

26. The apparatus as recited in claim 25, wherein detecting that the second device is outside of the particular distance from the first device, comprises detecting that the second device is moved outside of the particular distance from the first device.

27. The apparatus as recited in claim 25, the steps further comprising in response to detecting that the second device is outside of the particular distance from the first device, stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the first device.

28. The apparatus as recited in claim 27, wherein stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the first device and playing the multimedia content on the second device are based on a same playing position in the multimedia content.

29. The apparatus as recited in claim 27, the steps further comprising:

subsequent to playing the multimedia content on the second device, detecting that the second device is inside the particular distance from the first device;

in response to detecting that the second device is inside the particular distance from the first device, playing the multimedia content on the first device.

30. The apparatus as recited in claim 25, the steps further comprising:

subsequent to playing the multimedia content on the second device, detecting that the second device is inside the particular distance from the first device;

in response to detecting that the second device is inside the particular distance from the first device, stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the second device.

31. The apparatus as recited in claim 25, the multimedia content is synchronously played on the first device and the second device.

32. An apparatus comprising:

one or more processors;

logic configured to perform steps comprising;

playing multimedia content on a first device;

detecting that the first device is inside of a particular distance from the second device;

in response to detecting that the first device is inside of the particular distance from the second device, playing the multimedia content on the second device.

33. The apparatus as recited in claim 32, wherein detecting that the first device is inside of the particular distance from the second device, comprises detecting that the first device is moved inside of the particular distance from the second device.

34. The apparatus as recited in claim 32, the steps further comprising in response to detecting that the first device is inside of the particular distance from the second device, stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the first device.

35. The apparatus as recited in claim 34, wherein stopping the playing of the multimedia content on the first device and playing the multimedia content on the second device are based on a same playing position in the multimedia content.

36. The apparatus as recited in claim 32, the multimedia content is synchronously played on the second device and the first device.
