Abstract

A wireless power transmission apparatus includes: a transmitter that wirelessly transmits electric power; and a receiver that can receive, in a resonant relation with the transmitter, a transmission signal including the electric power transmitted from the transmitter, wherein the receiver includes a frequency variable unit that can change a reception resonant frequency; a detecting unit that detects reception power; and a control unit that controls the frequency variable unit to perform frequency adjustment such that the reception power detected by the detecting unit is maximized.

Claims

1. A wireless power transmission apparatus comprising:

a transmitter that wirelessly transmits electric power; and

a receiver that can receive, in a resonant relation with the transmitter, a transmission signal including the electric power transmitted from the transmitter, wherein

the receiver includes

a frequency variable unit that can change a reception resonant frequency;

a detecting unit that detects reception power; and

a control unit that controls the frequency variable unit to perform frequency adjustment such that the reception power detected by the detecting unit is maximized.

2. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 1, wherein

the transmitter can transmit the electric power while changing a transmission resonant frequency,

the receiver can receive the electric power while changing the reception resonant frequency, and

the control unit changes the reception resonant frequency to follow the changed transmitting resonant frequency.

3. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 2, wherein a changing sequence for the transmission resonant frequency in the transmitter and a changing sequence for the reception resonant frequency in the receiver are the same.

4. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 2, wherein a changing sequence for the transmission resonant frequency in the transmitter is undisclosed.

5. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the transmitter and the receiver include an authentication sequence for enabling sharing of a changing sequence for a same resonant frequency and can wirelessly transmit data corresponding to authentication to each other.

6. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 5, wherein

the receiver can perform encryption processing including a public key and a secret key, and

the transmitter can perform encryption processing corresponding to the public key.

7. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 5, wherein the transmitter and the receiver perform authentication and sequence distribution in a power transmission line.

8. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 5, wherein the transmitter and the receiver perform authentication and sequence distribution in a wireless transmission line separate from a power transmission line.

9. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the transmitter and the receiver periodically select one or plural specific frequencies fa.

A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 9, wherein the transmitter and the receiver include an authentication sequence for enabling sharing of a changing sequence for a same resonant frequency, can wirelessly transmit data corresponding to authentication to each other, and use the frequency fa as a channel used for the authentication.

11. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 1, wherein

the transmitter and the receiver include an authentication sequence for enabling sharing of a changing sequence for a same resonant frequency and can wirelessly transmit data corresponding to authentication to each other, and

the receiver has a function of maintaining a reception system circuit in a low-power mode of low power until completion of the authentication immediately after power-on.

12. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 1, wherein

the transmitter and the receiver include an authentication sequence for enabling sharing of a changing sequence for a same resonant frequency, can wirelessly transmit data corresponding to authentication to each other, and can periodically select one or plural specific frequencies fa, and

the transmitter has a function of polling an authentication request of the receiver when the resonant frequency is the frequency fa.

A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the transmitter and the receiver include an authentication sequence for enabling sharing of a changing sequence for a same resonant frequency, can wirelessly transmit data corresponding to authentication to each other, and have a function of, even after the authentication, periodically performing authentication.

14. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the receiver has a function of notifying the transmitter of a power demand request.

15. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 14, wherein the transmitter has a function of increasing or reducing transmission power according to a power demand request of one or plural receivers.

16. A wireless power transmission apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the transmitter is incorporated in a table.
