Abstract

A wireless charging method includes searching one or more rechargeable electronic devices, receiving power service information from one or more searched electronic devices, determining whether the one or more searched electronic devices are rechargeable based on the received power service information, and if the one or more searched electronic devices are rechargeable, receiving power from the electronic devices.

Claims

1. A wireless charging method, comprising:

searching one or more rechargeable electronic devices;

receiving power service information from the one or more searched electronic devices;

determining whether the one or more searched electronic devices are rechargeable based on the received power service information; and

receiving power from the electronic devices when the one or more searched electronic devices are rechargeable.

2. The wireless charging method of claim 1, wherein searching one or more rechargeable electronic devices comprises searching, through a server, the one or more electronic devices which are adjacent to an electronic device requiring wireless charging.

The wireless charging method of claim 1, wherein power service information includes information as to whether the one or more searched electronic devices subscribe to a power charging payment system and information about the amount of power remaining in batteries of the one or more searched electronic devices.

The wireless charging method of claim 1, wherein determining whether the one or more searched electronic devices are rechargeable comprises determining whether there are electronic devices which subscribe to a power charging payment system and have power in their batteries, among the one or more searched electronic devices.

5. The wireless charging method of claim 1, wherein receiving power from the electronic devices comprises:

selecting all electronic devices which subscribe to a power charging payment system among the one or more searched electronic devices;

selecting a nearest electronic device among the electronic devices which subscribe to the power charging payment system; and

receiving power from the nearest electronic device.

6. The wireless charging method of claim 5, further comprising, if the amount of power supplied from the nearest electronic device is less than the desired amount of power, additionally receiving power by selecting a second nearest electronic device among the electronic devices which subscribe to the power charging payment system after receiving power from the nearest electronic device.

7. The wireless charging method of claim 1, further comprising transmitting information about the amount of received power to the one or more searched electronic devices and a server.

8. The wireless charging method of claim 7, wherein fees of an electronic device requiring wireless charging and the one or more searched electronic devices are added or discounted according to the information about the amount of received power.

9. A wireless charging apparatus, comprising:

a communication and control unit for searching one or more rechargeable electronic devices, receiving power service information from the one or more searched electronic devices, determining whether the one or more searched electronic devices are rechargeable based on the received power service information, and performs a control function to receive power from the one or more searched electronic devices when the one or more searched electronic devices are rechargeable; and

a power receiver for receiving power from the one or more searched electronic devices under the control of the communication and control unit.

10. The wireless charging apparatus of claim 9, wherein the communication and control unit searches, through a server, the one or more electronic devices which are adjacent to an electronic device requiring wireless charging.

The wireless charging apparatus of claim 9, wherein the communication and control unit determines whether the one or more searched electronic devices are rechargeable by determining whether there are electronic devices which subscribe to a power charging payment system and have power in their battery, among the one or more searched electronic devices.

The wireless charging apparatus of claim 9, wherein the communication and control unit selects all electronic devices which subscribe to a power charging payment system among the one or more searched electronic devices, selects a nearest electronic device among the electronic devices which subscribe to the power charging payment system, and performs a control function to receive power from the nearest electronic device.

13. The wireless charging apparatus of claim 12, wherein, if the amount of power supplied from the nearest electronic device is less than the desired amount of power, the communication and control unit performs a control function to additionally receive power by selecting a second nearest electronic device among the electronic devices which subscribe to the power charging payment system after receiving power from the nearest electronic device.

14. The wireless charging apparatus of claim 9, wherein the communication and control unit transmits information about the amount of received power to the one or more searched electronic devices and a server.

15. A wireless charging apparatus, comprising:

a communication and control unit for transmitting power service information upon receiving a request for transmission of power service information from one or more electronic devices, and determining whether to perform wireless charging by judging whether to accept a wireless charging request upon receiving the wireless charging request from one or more electronic devices receiving the power service information; and

a power transmitter for supplying power to the one or more searched electronic devices under the control of the communication and control unit if the wireless charging request is accepted.

16. The wireless charging apparatus of claim 15, wherein the communication and control unit transmits a rejection message to one or more electronic devices receiving the power service information if the wireless charging request is not accepted.

17. The wireless charging apparatus of claim 15, wherein the communication and control unit transmits information about the amount of supplied power to the one or more searched electronic devices and a server.

18. A wireless charging method, comprising:

receiving a request for transmission of power service information from one or more electronic devices;

transmitting the power service information and receiving a wireless charging request from one or more electronic devices receiving the power service information;

determining whether to accept the wireless charging request; and

supplying power to the one or more searched electronic devices if the wireless charging request is accepted.

19. The wireless charging method of claim 18, further comprising transmitting information about the amount of supplied power to the one or more searched electronic devices and a server.
