Abstract

A system for transmission, reception and accumulation of the knowledge packets to plurality of channel nodes in the network operating distributedly in a peer to peer environment via installable one or more role active Human Operating System (HOS) applications in a digital devise of each of channel node, a network controller registering and providing desired HOS applications and multiple developers developing advance communication and knowledge management applications and each of subscribers exploiting the said network resources by leveraging and augmenting taxonomically and ontologically classified knowledge classes expressed via plurality search macros and UKID structures facilitating said expert human agents for knowledge invocation and support services and service providers providing information services in the preidentified taxonomical classes, wherein each of channel nodes communicating with the unknown via domain specific supernodes each facilitating social networking and relationships development leading to human grid which is searchable via Universal Desktop Search by black box search module.

Claims

1. A method for publishing, sharing and accessing contents with selective accessibility on a social network, the method comprising:

receiving a contents from a user of the social network;

receiving a selection and sharing and publication setting to be associated with the content item from the user, the selection and sharing and publication setting enabling one or more connections to access the content item;

publishing the content item via one or more communication channels of the social network; and

making the content item accessible to one or more connections via the communication channel, where accessibility to the one or more connections is determined by the selection and sharing and publication setting selected by the user.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

locking access to the content item for connections not identified by the selection and sharing and publication setting.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the selection and sharing and publication setting allows the content item as public and searchable by public.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the selection and sharing and publication setting identifies all users of the social network.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the selection and sharing and publication setting identifies all of the user'"'"'s connections on the social network.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the selection and sharing and publication setting identifies a subset of the user'"'"'s connections on the social network.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the selection and sharing and publication setting identifies one or more connections to exclude from the one or more connections.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the selection and sharing and publication setting includes a user-defined list of connections.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the selection and sharing and publication setting includes an automatic grouping of connections.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein the automatic grouping includes online related and matched connections sharing a common characteristic with the user.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein the selection and sharing and publication setting includes keywords, metadata, rules, conditions, filters, preferences and security policies for matching the user'"'"'s connection or matched users.

12. The method of claim 1, wherein the selection and sharing and publication setting includes two way match making preferences for matching both publishing and receiving users settings including keywords, metadata, rules, conditions, preferences and security policies.

13. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

responsive to receiving a selection and sharing and publication setting to be associated with the content item from locking the content item from being published a communication channel accessible to one or more connections, exclude the content item from the communication channel accessible to the one or more connections.

14. The method of claim 13, wherein the selection is performed by the user.

15. The method of claim 13, wherein the selection is dynamically selected based on the match making of user'"'"'s one or more connections.

16. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving a updated selection and sharing and publication setting for the content item from the user, the updated selection and sharing and publication setting identifying one or more connections different from the previously identified one or more connections; and

modifying the accessibility of the published content item in the communication channel according to the updated sharing and security and publication setting.

The method of claim 1, wherein the communication channels comprising one or more applications including communication, sharing and collaboration applications and services, journal feed, human services, search services including human mediated search engine, search macros service and universal desktop and database search engine, messaging services, unified communication services, application services, publication services and answer service.

17. A system for publishing, sharing and accessing contents with selective accessibility on a social network, the system comprising:

a user profile store for storing profiles of users of the social network, each profile comprising user'"'"'s one or more dynamic relationships or connections; and

a web server comprising, a content repository module for receiving a content item with an associated selection and sharing and publication setting identifying one or more connections allowed to access the content item, a content publishing module for publishing the content item into a communication channel of the social network and publishing the content item to one or more connections via the communication channel, wherein the content item is published subject to the selection and sharing and publication setting associated with the content item, and a sharing and security module for managing the access to the content item.

18. A method for managing communication of content within a social network, the method comprising:

maintaining in a profile database users profiles of the social network and connections among the users;

providing an explorer interface for users of the social network enabling users to publish content items and to specify selection and sharing and publication setting for accessibility of the published content items;

maintaining in a content repository a plurality of received content items and associated selection and sharing and publication setting from users publishing content items via the explorer interface;

for each of one or more of the users of the social network, generating a publication of content items for the user based on the user'"'"'s connection to other users who published the content items and limited according to the selection and sharing and publication setting associated therewith; and

providing the publication of content items to users of the social network.

The method of claim 18, wherein the content database maintains groupings of user profiles for users of the social network according to common characteristics of the user profiles and wherein the selection and sharing and publication setting are specified by selecting one or more of the groupings via the explorer interface.

20. The method of claim 18, wherein the content database maintains user-defined groupings of user profiles for users of the social network and wherein the selection and sharing and publication setting are specified by selecting one or more of the user-defined groupings via the explorer interface.
