1. A communication system for providing content-driven navigation, the system comprising:
- a display device;
an input device; and
a computing device in communication with the display device and the input device, the computing device comprising at least one processor and at least one computer readable storage medium in communication with the at least one processor, the at least one computer readable storage medium having encoded thereon a set of instructions that are executable by the processor to cause the computer system to perform one or more operations, the set of instructions comprising;
instructions for providing a hierarchical set of navigation screens to serve as a portal to content-related activities, the hierarchical set of navigation screens comprising;
a first level of a navigation screen hierarchy, the first level comprising a first landing screen comprising a first type of content; and
a second level of the navigation screen hierarchy, the second level comprising a first application screen, the first application screen providing a user interface for interacting with the first type of content using a first application;
instructions for displaying, on the display screen, the first landing screen;
instructions for receiving, with the input device, a user interaction with the first type of content;
instructions for displaying the first application screen, in response to the interaction with the first type of content; and
instructions for providing functionality to the user, with the first application, pertaining to the first type of content.

Abstract
Solutions for providing intuitive, content-driven navigation through communications and multimedia services offered through, e.g., a user supersystem as a communications hub. For example, in some implementations, various data flows are traversed to move between applications according to interactions with content on those screens, rather than by using icons. In some cases, a small, static set of icons is used to navigate between a set of landing screens representing broad categories of functionality. Within each landing screen environment, content is used to drive navigation to and through application functionality.
