Abstract

A communication apparatus including: a reception portion that receives identification information for a first apparatus to identify a second apparatus, and authentication information for the first apparatus to authenticate the second apparatus, from a network, the network being different from a route used when wireless communication between the first apparatus and the second apparatus is executed; and a communication unit that substitutes for the second apparatus and executes the wireless communication with the first apparatus by using the identification information and the authentication information when the second apparatus fails to execute the wireless communication with the first apparatus.

Claims

1. A communication apparatus comprising:

a reception portion that receives identification information for a first apparatus to identify a second apparatus, and authentication information for the first apparatus to authenticate the second apparatus, from a network, the network being different from a route used when wireless communication between the first apparatus and the second apparatus is executed; and

a communication unit that substitutes for the second apparatus and executes the wireless communication with the first apparatus by using the identification information and the authentication information when the second apparatus fails to execute the wireless communication with the first apparatus.

2. The communication apparatus according to claim 1, the reception portion receives the identification information and the authentication information from the second apparatus via the network.

3. The communication apparatus according to claim 1, the reception portion receives the identification information and the authentication information from a third apparatus via the network, the third apparatus having obtained the identification information and the authentication information from the second apparatus.

4. The communication apparatus according to claim 2, the reception portion transmits a network address of the communication apparatus to the second apparatus by using a route different from the network.

5. The communication apparatus according to claim 3, the reception portion transmits a network address of the communication apparatus to the third apparatus by using a route different from the network.

6. A communication apparatus comprising:

a first communication unit that executes wireless communication with a first apparatus; and

a second communication unit that, when the first communication unit fails to execute the wireless communication with the first apparatus, transmits identification information for the first apparatus to identify the communication apparatus, and authentication information for the first apparatus to authenticate the communication apparatus to a fourth apparatus from a network, and communicates with the first apparatus via the fourth apparatus, the network being different from a route used when the wireless communication is executed.

7. A communication apparatus comprising:

a reception portion that receives identification information for a first apparatus to identify a second apparatus, and authentication information for the first apparatus to authenticate the second apparatus; and

a communication unit that, when the second apparatus fails to execute the wireless communication with the first apparatus, communicates with the first apparatus via a fourth apparatus by using the identification information and the authentication information.

8. A communication system, comprising:

a first apparatus;

a second apparatus that, when the second apparatus fails to execute wireless communication with the first apparatus, transmits identification information for the first apparatus to identify the second apparatus, and authentication information for the first apparatus to authenticate the second apparatus to a fourth apparatus from a network, the network being different from a route used when the wireless communication is executed; and

a fourth apparatus that substitutes for the second apparatus and executes the wireless communication with the first apparatus by using the identification information and the authentication information received from the second apparatus.

9. A communication system, comprising:

a first apparatus;

a second apparatus that, when the second apparatus fails to execute wireless communication with the first apparatus, transmits identification information for the first apparatus to identify the second apparatus, and authentication information for the first apparatus to authenticate the second apparatus to a third apparatus from a network, the network being different from a route used when the wireless communication is executed;

the third apparatus that transmits the identification information and the authentication information received from the second apparatus to a fourth apparatus; and

the fourth apparatus that substitutes for the third apparatus and executes the wireless communication with the first apparatus by using the identification information and the authentication information received from the third apparatus.
