Abstract

The different illustrative embodiments provide a method, system, and computer program product for sharing a list passed in a shared direct communication environment after a direct communication has ended among mobile devices. A profile associated with the first mobile device in a storage of a server computer is accessed by an indirect transceiver in the second mobile device responsive to a second mobile device acquiring an information that is responsive to a list previously received from a first mobile device and responsive to the information being acquired during a time when there is no direct communication between the first mobile device and the second mobile device. A contact information is retrieved, and the information is sent to a location specified by the contact information.

Claims

1. A method for sharing a list passed in a shared direct communication environment after a direct communication has ended, the method comprising:

establishing a direct two-way communication between a first mobile device and a second mobile device when a first mobile device direct transceiver and a second mobile device direct transceiver are within a range of each other;

receiving the list sent by the first mobile device direct transceiver and storing the information in a storage at the second mobile device;

responsive to the second mobile device acquiring an information responsive to the list during a time when there is no direct communication between the first mobile device and the second mobile device, accessing a profile associated with the first mobile device in a storage of a server computer by an indirect transceiver in the second mobile device;

responsive to accessing the profile, retrieving a contact information; and

sending the information to a location specified by the contact information.

2. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

configuring the list to be a broad list, a narrow list, or both a broad list and a narrow list by making a selection at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer.

3. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

configuring the contact information by making a selection at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer.

The method of claim 3, wherein the step of configuring the contact information by making the selection at the graphical user interface connected to the indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer further comprises activating a control to select an email address, a short message service number, or a website address.

The method of claim 4, wherein the step of activating the control to select an email address, a short message service address, or a website address further comprises selecting a number of email addresses, a number of short message service addresses, or a number of website addresses provided by a drop down menu on the graphical user interface.

6. The method of claim 2 further comprising:

configuring the mobile device to transmit the list by making a selection of a push mode at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

or

configuring the mobile device to receive a second mobile device list by making a selection of a pull mode at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

or

configuring the mobile device to transmit the list and to receive a second mobile device list by making a selection of both a pull mode and a push mode at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer.

7. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

configuring the list to permit the list to be transmitted among other mobile devices in addition to the second mobile device by selecting a maximum number of hops that the list may make from one mobile device to another at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer.

8. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

configuring the list to permit the list to be transmitted among other mobile devices in addition to the second mobile device by selecting an area in which a receiving mobile device must be located at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer.

9. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

configuring the list to permit the list to be transmitted among other mobile devices in addition to the second mobile device by selecting a maximum time during which the list may be transmitted from one mobile device to another at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer.

10. The method of claim 1 further comprising:

configuring the list to add a token to the list at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer, wherein the token enables a tracking report to be compiled during and after passage of the list among other mobile devices in addition to the second mobile device.

11. A computer system for providing dynamic changes to a user profile based on monitoring requests in a shared environment, the system comprising:

a processor, a computer readable memory, and a computer readable storage medium;

first program instructions for establishing a direct two-way communication between a first mobile device and a second mobile device when a first mobile device direct transceiver and a second mobile device direct transceiver are within a range of each other;

second program instructions for establishing a direct two-way communication between a first mobile device and a second mobile device when a first mobile device direct transceiver and a second mobile device direct transceiver are within a range of each other;

third program instructions for receiving the list sent by the first mobile device direct transceiver and storing the information in a storage at the second mobile device;

fourth program instructions for responsive to the second mobile device acquiring an information responsive to the list during a time when there is no direct communication between the first mobile device and the second mobile device, accessing a profile associated with the first mobile device in a storage of a server computer by an indirect transceiver in the second mobile device;

fifth program instructions for responsive to accessing the profile, retrieving a contact information;

sixth program instructions for sending the information to a location specified by the contact information;

wherein the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium for execution by the processor via the computer readable memory.

12. The computer system of claim 11 further comprising:

seventh program instructions for configuring the list to be a broad list, a narrow list, or both a broad list and a narrow list by making a selection at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

wherein the seventh program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium for execution by the processor via the computer readable memory.

13. The computer system of claim 11 further comprising:

eighth program instructions for configuring the contact information by making a selection at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

wherein the eighth program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium for execution by the processor via the computer readable memory.

14. The computer system of claim 13, wherein the eighth program instructions for configuring the contact information by making the selection at the graphical user interface connected to the indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer, further comprise activating a control to select an email address, a short message service number, or a website address.

15. The computer system of claim 14, wherein the eighth program instructions for activating the control to select an email address, a short message service address, or a website address further comprises selecting a number of email addresses, a number of short message service addresses, or a number of website addresses provided by a drop down menu on the graphical user interface.

16. The computer system of claim 12 further comprising:

ninth program instructions for configuring the mobile device to transmit the list by making a selection of a push mode at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

or

tenth program instructions for configuring the mobile device to receive a second mobile device list by making a selection of a pull mode at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

or

eleventh program instructions for configuring the mobile device to transmit the list and to receive a second mobile device list by making a selection of both a pull mode and a push mode at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

wherein the ninth, tenth, and eleventh program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium for execution by the processor via the computer readable memory.

17. The computer system of claim 11 further comprising:

twelfth program instructions for configuring the list to permit the list to be transmitted among other mobile devices in addition to the second mobile device by selecting a maximum number of hops that the list may make from one mobile device to another at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

wherein the twelfth program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium for execution by the processor via the computer readable memory.

18. The computer system of claim 11 further comprising:

thirteenth program instructions for configuring the list to permit the list to be transmitted among other mobile devices in addition to the second mobile device by selecting an area in which a receiving mobile device must be located at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

wherein the thirteenth program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium for execution by the processor via the computer readable memory.

19. The computer system of claim 11 further comprising:

fourteenth program instructions for configuring the list to permit the list to be transmitted among other mobile devices in addition to the second mobile device by selecting a maximum time during which the list may be transmitted from one mobile device to another at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

wherein the fourteenth program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium for execution by the processor via the computer readable memory.

20. The computer system of claim 11 further comprising:

fifteenth program instructions for configuring the list to add a token to the list at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer, wherein the token enables a tracking report to be compiled during and after passage of the list among other mobile devices in addition to the second mobile device;

wherein the fifteenth program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium for execution by the processor via the computer readable memory.

21. A computer program product for providing dynamic changes to a user profile based on monitoring requests in a direct communication shared environment, the computer program product comprising:

a computer readable storage medium;

first program instructions for establishing a direct two-way communication between a first mobile device and a second mobile device when a first mobile device direct transceiver and a second mobile device direct transceiver are within a range of each other;

second program instructions for establishing a direct two-way communication between a first mobile device and a second mobile device when a first mobile device direct transceiver and a second mobile device direct transceiver are within a range of each other;

third program instructions for receiving the list sent by the first mobile device direct transceiver and storing the information in a storage at the second mobile device;

fourth program instructions for responsive to the second mobile device acquiring an information responsive to the list during a time when there is no direct communication between the first mobile device and the second mobile device, accessing a profile associated with the first mobile device in a storage of a server computer by an indirect transceiver in the second mobile device;

fifth program instructions for responsive to accessing the profile, retrieving a contact information;

sixth program instructions for sending the information to a location specified by the contact information;

wherein the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium.

22. The computer program product of claim 21 further comprising:

seventh program instructions for configuring the list to be a broad list, a narrow list, or both a broad list and a narrow list by making a selection at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

wherein the seventh program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium.

23. The computer program product of claim 21 further comprising:

eighth program instructions for configuring the contact information by making a selection at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

wherein the eighth program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium for execution by the processor via the computer readable memory;

wherein the eighth program instructions further comprise activating a control to select an email address, a short message service number, or a website address;

wherein the eighth program instructions further comprises selecting a number of email addresses, a number of short message service addresses, or a number of website addresses provided by a drop down menu on the graphical user interface.

24. The computer program product of claim 21 further comprising:

ninth program instructions for configuring the mobile device to transmit the list by making a selection of a push mode at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

or

tenth program instructions for configuring the mobile device to receive a second mobile device list by making a selection of a pull mode at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

or

eleventh program instructions for configuring the mobile device to transmit the list and to receive a second mobile device list by making a selection of both a pull mode and a push mode at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

wherein the ninth, tenth, and eleventh program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium for execution by the processor via the computer readable memory.

25. The computer program product of claim 21 further comprising:

twelfth program instructions for configuring the list to permit the list to be transmitted among other mobile devices in addition to the second mobile device by selecting a maximum number of hops that the list may make from one mobile device to another at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

thirteenth program instructions for configuring the list to permit the list to be transmitted among other mobile devices in addition to the second mobile device by selecting an area in which a receiving mobile device must be located at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

fourteenth program instructions for configuring the list to permit the list to be transmitted among other mobile devices in addition to the second mobile device by selecting a maximum time during which the list may be transmitted from one mobile device to another at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer;

wherein the twelfth, thirteenth and fourteenth program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium for execution by the processor via the computer readable memory.

26. The computer program product of claim 21 further comprising:

fifteenth program instructions for configuring the list to add a token to the list at a graphical user interface connected to an indirect transceiver in the first mobile device and to a storage of a server computer, wherein the token enables a tracking report to be compiled during and after passage of the list among other mobile devices in addition to the second mobile device;

wherein the fifteenth program instructions are stored on the computer readable storage medium for execution by the processor via the computer readable memory.
