Abstract

An electrical powered vehicle includes a secondary self-resonant coil, a secondary coil, a rectifier, and a power storage device. The secondary self-resonant coil is configured to be magnetically coupled with a primary self-resonant coil of a power feeding device by magnetic field resonance, and allow reception of high frequency power from the primary self-resonant coil. The secondary coil is configured to allow reception of electric power from the secondary self-resonant coil by electromagnetic induction. The rectifier rectifies the electric power received by the secondary coil. The power storage device stores the electric power rectified by the rectifier.

Claims

1. An electrical powered vehicle comprising:

a secondary self-resonant coil configured to be magnetically coupled with a primary self-resonant coil external to a vehicle by magnetic field resonance, and allow reception of electric power from said primary self-resonant coil,

a secondary coil configured to allow reception of electric power from said secondary self-resonant coil electromagnetic induction,

a rectifier for rectifying electric power received by said secondary coil,

a power storage device for storing electric power rectified by said rectifier,

an electric motor for receiving supply of electric power from said power storage device to generate a driving force of the vehicle, and

reflective means formed at a rear side of said secondary self-resonant coil and said secondary coil with respect to a power receiving direction from said primary self-resonant coil, for allowing reflection of a magnetic flux output from said primary self-resonant coil to said secondary self-resonant coil.

2. The electrical powered vehicle according to claim 1, wherein at least a portion of said reflective means is disposed at a side farther away from a body face of vehicle located closest to said secondary self-resonant coil, than said secondary self-resonant coil and said secondary coil.

3. The electrical powered vehicle according to claim 1, wherein said secondary self-resonant coil and said secondary coil are disposed at a lower portion of a body of the vehicle, and

at least a portion of said reflective means is disposed at an upper side of the body of the vehicle relative to said secondary self-resonant coil and said secondary coil.

The electrical powered vehicle according to claim 1, wherein the number of windings of said secondary self-resonant coil is set based on a voltage of said power storage device, a distance between said primary self-resonant coil and said secondary self-resonant coil, and a resonant frequency of said primary self-resonant coil and said secondary self-resonant coil.

The electrical powered vehicle according to claim 1, further comprising an adjustment device configured to allow adjustment of a resonant frequency of said secondary self-resonant coil by modifying at least one of a capacitance and inductance of said secondary self-resonant coil by modifying at least one of a capacitance and inductance of said secondary self-resonant coil.

6. The electrical powered vehicle according to claim 5, further comprising:

an electrical power detection device for detecting electric power received by said secondary self-resonant coil and said second coil, and a control device for controlling said adjustment device such that electric power detected by said electric power detection device is at a maximum.

7. The electrical powered vehicle according to claim 1, further comprising:

an electrical power detection device detecting electric power received by said secondary self-resonant coil and said secondary coil, and

a communication device configured to allow transmission of a detection value of electric power detected by said electric power detection device to a power feeding device external to the vehicle and including said primary self-resonant coil.

8. The electrical powered vehicle according to claim 1, wherein said secondary self-resonant coil is disposed at a lower portion of a body of the vehicle.

9. The electrical powered vehicle according to claim 1, wherein a plurality of said secondary self-resonant coil and said secondary coil are provided, and the plurality of secondary coils are connected to said rectifier parallel with each other.

10. The electrical powered vehicle according to claim 1, further comprising a voltage converter arranged between said secondary coil and said power storage device to carryout a boosting operation or down-converting operation based on a voltage of said power storage device.

11. The electrical powered vehicle according to claim 1, further comprising:

a first relay disposed between said power storage device and said electric motor and

a second relay disposed between said power storage device and said secondary coil,

wherein, when said first relay is turned on and said electric motor is driven by electric power of said power storage device, said secondary relay is turned on together with said first relay.

12. A power feeding device for an electrical powered vehicle, comprising:

a high frequency power driver configured to allow conversion of electric power received from a power source into high frequency power that can achieve magnetic field resonance for transmission to a vehicle,

a primary coil for receiving said high frequency power from said high frequency power driver,

a primary self-resonant coil configured to be magnetically coupled with a secondary self-resonant coil mounted on said vehicle by magnetic field resonance, and allow transmission of said high frequency power received from said primary coil by electromagnetic induction to said secondary self-resonant coil, and

reflective means formed at a rear side of said primary self-resonant coil and said primary coil with respect to a power transferring direction from said primary self-resonant coil, for allowing reflection of a magnetic flux output from said primary self-resonant coil in said power transferring direction.

13. The power feeding device for an electrical powered vehicle according to claim 12, wherein

said primary self-resonant coil said primary coil are disposed in proximity to the ground, and

at least a portion of said reflective means is disposed at a side deeper in the ground than said primary self-resonant coil and said primary coil.

14. The power feeding device for an electrical powered vehicle according to claim 12, further comprising:

a communication device configured to allow reception of a detection value of reception power transmitted from a vehicle receiving power supply from the power feeding device for a vehicle, and

a control device for adjusting a frequency of said high frequency power by controlling said high frequency power driver such that said reception power is at a maximum based on the detection value of said reception power received by said communication device.

15. The power feeding device for an electrical powered vehicle according to claim 12, further comprising:

a communication device configured to allow reception of information transmitted from a vehicle receiving power supply from the power feeding device for a vehicle, and

a control device for controlling said high frequency power driver such that said high frequency power is generated according to the number of vehicles receiving power supply from the power feeding device for a vehicle, based on said information received by said communication device.

16. The power feeding device for an electrical Dowered vehicle according to claim 15, wherein said control device stops said high frequency power driver when determination is made that there is no vehicle receiving power supply from the power feeding device for a vehicle.

The power feeding device for a an electrical powered vehicle according to claim 12, further comprising an adjustment device configured to allow adjustment of a resonant frequency of said primary self-resonant coil by modifying at least one of a capacitance and inductance of said primary self-resonant coil.

18. The power feeding device for a vehicle an electrical powered vehicle according to claim 17, further comprising:

a communication device configured to allow reception of a detection value of reception power transmitted from a vehicle receiving power supply from the power feeding device for a vehicle, and

a control device controlling said adjustment device such that said reception power is at a maximum based on the detection value of said reception power received by said communication device.

19. The power feeding device for an electrical powered vehicle according to claim 12, further comprising:

a communication device configured to allow reception of a detection value of reception power transmitted from a vehicle receiving power supply from the power feeding device for a vehicle,

wherein a plurality of sets of said primary self-resonant coil and said primary coil are provided,

the power feeding device further comprising a selection device for selecting, among the plurality of primary coils, a primary coil receiving said high frequency power from said high frequency power driver, and connecting the selected primary coil with said high frequency power driver such that said reception power is at a maximum based on the detection value of said reception power received by said communication device.

20. The power feeding device for an electrical powered vehicle according to claim 12, wherein a plurality of sets of said primary self-resonant coil and said primary coil are provided, and

the plurality of primary coils are connected parallel with each other with respect to said high frequency power driver.
