a seat base extending forward from a lower end of said seat back, said seat base formed of a first foam member extending laterally across said seat base to absorb loads and a second foam member formed over said first member and extending rearwardly therefrom to form a seating surface of said seat base, said first foam member formed of complementary portions that mate together to form said first foam member.

21. A method of constructing a seat cushion for a vehicle seat assembly, comprising:
