Abstract

A method can include displaying a user interface on a display of a mobile device. The user interface can include a scrollable payroll data section with multiple selectable fields and a data entry section configured to accept input of payroll data for the multiple fields. The method can further include simultaneously displaying the scrollable payroll data section and the data entry section and, in response to an input, simultaneously scrolling through one or more of the multiple selectable fields of the payroll data section while maintaining the payroll data section in place. A device and computer-readable medium can be configured to implement the method and variations thereof.

Claims

1. A mobile device comprising:

a memory configured to store computer instructions, and

a processor configured to execute the computer instructions to display a user interface,

the user interface comprising a scrollable payroll data section with multiple selectable fields and a data entry section configured to accept input of payroll data for the multiple fields,

the user interface being configured to enable scrolling of the payroll data section without requiring scrolling of the data entry section.

2. The mobile device of claim 1, wherein the user interface is configured to populate data accepted by the data entry section into a selected field of the multiple selectable fields.

3. The mobile device of claim 1, wherein the computer instructions comprise a mobile payroll application.

4. The mobile device of claim 3, wherein the mobile payroll application is configured to send data to and receive data from payroll software executed by a server.

The mobile device of claim 3, wherein the memory is configured to store payroll information associated with multiple employees and the user interface is configured to modify the payroll information associated with the multiple employees via the scrollable payroll data section and data entry section.

6. The mobile device of claim 5, wherein the user interface is configured to display multiple selectable pay rates associated with one or more of the multiple employees.

7. The mobile device of claim 5, wherein the user interface is configured to accept an input to process a payroll based on the information input via the scrollable payroll data section and data entry section or to save the information input via the scrollable payroll data section and data entry section for later processing.

8. The mobile device of claim 7, wherein the mobile payroll application is configured to communicate with a server to process the payroll in response to the input to process the payroll.

9. The mobile device of claim 1, comprising a touch screen display.

10. A method comprising:

displaying a user interface on a display of a mobile device, the user interface comprising a scrollable payroll data section with multiple selectable fields and a data entry section configured to accept input of payroll data for the multiple fields,

simultaneously displaying the scrollable payroll data section and the data entry section, and

in response to an input, simultaneously scrolling through one or more of the multiple selectable fields of the payroll data section while maintaining the payroll data section in place.

11. The method of claim 10, comprising:

receiving a selection of one of the multiple selectable fields,

receiving data input into the data entry section, and

populating the received data into the selected field.

12. The method of claim 11, comprising:

storing payroll information associated with multiple employees, and

modifying the payroll information associated with one of the multiple employees with the received data populated into the selected field.

13. The method of claim 12, comprising displaying multiple selectable pay rates associated with one or more of the multiple employees.

14. The method of claim 12, comprising processing a payroll based on the modified payroll information.

15. The method of claim 10, comprising sending data to and receiving data from payroll software executed by a server.

16. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions executable by a microprocessor to perform the following steps:

displaying a user interface on a display of a mobile device, the user interface comprising a scrollable payroll data section with multiple selectable fields and a data entry section configured to accept input of payroll data for the multiple fields,

simultaneously displaying the scrollable payroll data section and the data entry section, and

in response to an input, simultaneously scrolling through one or more of the multiple selectable fields of the payroll data section while maintaining the payroll data section in place.

17. The computer-readable medium of claim 16, wherein the steps further comprise:

receiving a selection of one of the multiple selectable fields,

receiving data input into the data entry section, and

populating the received data into the selected field.

18. The computer-readable medium of claim 17, wherein the steps further comprise:

storing payroll information associated with multiple employees, and

modifying the payroll information associated with one of the multiple employees with the received data populated into the selected field.

19. The computer-readable medium of claim 18, wherein the steps further comprise displaying multiple selectable pay rates associated with one or more of the multiple employees.

20. The computer-readable medium of claim 18, wherein the steps further comprise processing a payroll based on the modified payroll information.
