Abstract

A first embodiment can be a device comprising a means to reduce SLOSH energy absorption in a fluid containing organism by reducing the flow of one or more outflow vessels of the cranium by compressing said vessels.

Claims

1. A device comprising a means to reduce SLOSH energy absorption in a fluid containing organism by reducing the flow of one or more outflow vessels of the cranium by compressing said vessels.

2. The device of claim 1 wherein the means of compressing one or more outflow vessels of the cranium is achieved by a collar.

3. The device of claim 2 wherein the collar is elastic.

4. The device of claim 2 wherein the collar size and tension are adjustable.

5. The device of claim 2 further comprising one or more breakaway release mechanisms.

6. The device of claim 2 further comprising one or more known monitoring devices.

7. The device of claim 2 further comprising one or more known recording devices.

8. The device of claim 2 further comprising one or more known communicating devices.

9. The device of claim 2 further comprising a region for branding or advertising.

10. The device of claim 2 further comprising protuberances in the area of the internal jugular veins wherein said protuberances reduce the flow within said veins.

11. The device of claim 2 wherein the collar is further comprised of one or more segments wherein one or more segments of the collar are inflatable.

12. The device of claim 10 wherein said protuberances are inflatable.

13. The device of claim 11 further comprising a manual pump to inflate one or more segments of the collar.

14. The device of claim 11 further comprising a source of pressurized gas or fluid for inflation of one or more segments of the collar.

15. The device of claim 11 further comprising a release valve to regulate the pressure in said one or more inflatable segments.

16. A device comprising a means to reduce SLOSH energy absorption in a fluid containing organism by reducing the flow of one or more outflow vessels of the cranium by compressing said vessels with a collar having protuberances in the area of said vessels wherein said protuberances reduce the flow within said vessels.

17. A device comprising a means to reduce SLOSH energy absorption in a fluid containing organism by reducing the flow of one or more outflow vessels of the cranium by compressing said vessels with a collar having inflatable protuberances in the area of said vessels wherein said protuberances reduce the flow within said vessels.
