Abstract

A computer-implemented method for updating an object on a mobile device is provided. The computer-implemented method includes maintaining at a server a plurality of channels, the plurality of channels including at least a first representation of the object, generating a modification event when a change to the object is detected, responsive to the modification event, at least updating the representation of the object yielding a second representation of the object, and conveying, during a synchronization process, the second representation of the object to the mobile device.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method for updating an object on a mobile device, the computer-implemented method comprising:

maintaining at a server a plurality of channels, the plurality of channels comprising at least a first representation of the object;

generating a modification event when a change to the object is detected;

responsive to the modification event, at least updating the representation of the object yielding a second representation of the object; and

conveying, during a synchronization process, the second representation of the object to the mobile device.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the object is one or more of (a) content, (b) an application, (c) a service, or (d) a link.
