Abstract

Systems and methods for take-out order sharing. In an embodiment, a restaurant is identified, and an interactive menu associated with the restaurant is provided to a user through a user interface. An order may be received from the user through the user interface. Information related to the user can be shared with one or more contacts of the user on one or more social networking sites through at least one application interface.

Claims

1. A system for take-out order management and sharing, the system comprising:

at least one hardware processor;

at least one executable software module that, when executed by the at least one hardware processor,

receives an identification of a restaurant,

provides an interactive menu associated with the restaurant to a user through a user interface, and

receives an order from the user through the user interface; and

at least one application interface to one or more social networking sites for sharing information related to the user with one or more contacts of the user on the one or more social networking sites.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the order is a group order, and the at least one executable software module further:

receives an identification of one or more invitees for the group order; and

sends an invitation to each of the identified one or more invitees.

3. The system of claim 2, wherein the at least one executable software module sends the invitation through the one or more social networking sites using the at least one application interface.

4. The system of claim 2, wherein the identification of the one or more invitees comprises an email address for each of the one or more invitees, and the at least one executable software module sends the invitation in an email to the email address for each of the one or more invitees.

5. The system of claim 2, wherein the identification of the one or more invitees comprises a selection of a subset of the one or more contacts.

6. The system of claim 5, wherein the at least one executable software module retrieves contact information for each of the subset of the one or more contacts from at least one of the one or more social networking sites via the at least one application interface.

7. The system of claim 2, wherein the invitation comprises a link to a user interface for joining the group order.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the at least one executable software module provides offers on the one or more social networking sites through the at least one application interface.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein the at least one executable software module further:

determines one or more of an up-sell option and promotional offer from information obtained through the at least one application interface from the one or more social networking sites; and

provides the one or more of the up-sell option and promotional offer to the user through the user interface.

10. The system of claim 1, wherein the information related to the user comprises at least a portion of an order history of the user.

11. A method for take-out order management and sharing, the method comprising, by at least one hardware processor:

receiving an identification of a restaurant;

providing an interactive menu associated with the restaurant to a user through a user interface;

receiving an order from the user through the user interface; and

sharing information related to the user with one or more contacts of the user on one or more social networking sites through at least one application interface.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein the order is a group order, and the method further comprising:

receiving an identification of one or more invitees for the group order; and

sending an invitation to each of the identified one or more invitees.

13. The method of claim 12, comprising sending the invitation through the one or more social networking sites using the at least one application interface.

14. The method of claim 12, wherein the identification of the one or more invitees comprises an email address for each of the one or more invitees, and the method comprises sending the invitation in an email to the email address for each of the one or more invitees.

15. The method of claim 12, wherein the identification of the one or more invitees comprises a selection of a subset of the one or more contacts.

16. The method of claim 15, further comprising retrieving contact information for each of the subset of the one or more contacts from at least one of the one or more social networking sites via the at least one application interface.

17. The method of claim 12, wherein the invitation comprises a link to a user interface for joining the group order.

18. The method of claim 11, further comprising providing offers on the one or more social networking sites through the at least one application interface.

19. The method of claim 11, further comprising:

determining one or more of an up-sell option and promotional offer from information obtained through the at least one application interface from the one or more social networking sites; and

providing the one or more of the up-sell option and promotional offer to the user through the user interface.

20. The method of claim 11, wherein the information related to the user comprises at least a portion of an order history of the user.
