Abstract

In an illustrative embodiment, a method comprises displaying at least one preset parameter associated with a conference type. The conference type is associated with preset resources. The method further comprises accepting information defining the conference type, receiving preset information from the at least one displayed preset parameter, automatically determining a room by communicating with a scheduling server the availability of the preset resources based on the received preset information, and sending at least one command to control the associated preset resources in response to the start time and end time.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

(a) at least one processor;

(b) a memory;

(c) at least one data storage device being operably associated with the memory and the at least one processor;

(d) at least one communication interface being operably associated with the at least one processor and memory, the at least one communication interface configured to enable communication between the information handling system and one or more user communication devices; and

(e) at least one program of instructions stored in the memory and executable in the processor, the program of instructions being operable to,

(i) accept information defining a presentation, the presentation being associated with preset resources including a presentation capture device,

(ii) display at least one presentation preset parameter associated with the presentation,

(iii) receive presentation preset information from the at least one displayed presentation preset parameter, the presentation preset information including a start time and an end time,

(iv) automatically determine a room by communicating with a scheduling server the availability of the preset resources based on the received presentation preset information,

(v) notify a conference initiator of the room, and

(vi) send at least one command to control at least one of the associated preset resources in response to the start time and the end time.

2. The system of claim 1 wherein the presentation preset information that is associated with the presentation includes shared documentation.

3. The system of claim 2 wherein the shared documentation is a slide show presentation to be displayed during the presentation by a content sink coupled to the presentation capture device.

4. The system of claim 1 wherein the program of instructions operable to send the at least one command includes instructions to:

(a) power on/off the presentation capture device, and

(b) initiate/end recording for live streaming, and

(c) initiate/end uploading for live streaming.

5. The system of claim 1 wherein the preset resources include a content source and a content sink, each coupled to presentation capture device.

6. The system of claim 5 wherein the program of instructions operable to send the at least one command includes instructions to:

(a) power on/off the content source and content sink, and

(b) initiate the content source to begin sending shared documentation to the presentation capture device.

7. The system of claim 1 wherein the at least one presentation preset parameter associated with the presentation comprises a recording profile.

8. The system of claim 7 wherein the presentation preset information includes a preconfigured recording profile.

9. The system of claim 8 wherein the preconfigured recording profile further comprises at least one AV workflow preset parameter.

10. The system of claim 9 wherein the at least one AV workflow parameter comprises a post-processing profile.

11. The system of claim 10 wherein the post-processing profile comprises at least one watermark preset parameter.

12. The system of claim 9 wherein the at least one AV workflow parameter comprises an encoding profile.

13. The system of claim 12 wherein the encoding profile comprises at least one container format preset parameter.

14. The system of claim 12 wherein the encoding profile comprises a video CODEC preset parameter, a resolution preset parameter and a video bitrate preset parameter.

15. The system of claim 12 wherein the encoding profile comprises an audio CODEC preset parameter, an audio channels preset parameter, a sampling frequency preset parameter and an audio bitrate preset parameter.

16. The system of claim 8 wherein the preconfigured recording profile further comprises at least one distribution function preset parameter.

17. The system of claim 16 wherein the at least one distribution function preset parameter comprises a distribution method.

18. The system of claim 1 wherein the at least one presentation preset information associated with the presentation comprises a notification preference

21. The method of claim 19 wherein the presentation preset information that is associated with the presentation is a presentation slide show to be displayed during the presentation, and wherein the method of claim 12 further comprises the step of:

(a) transmitting the presentation slide show to a preset resource configured for sending the presentation slide show to the presentation capture device during the presentation.

19. A method for managing a room reservation, comprising:

(a) displaying at least one preset presentation parameter associated with a presentation, the presentation being associated with preset resources including a presentation capture device,

(b) accepting information defining a presentation,

(c) receiving presentation preset information from the at least one displayed presentation preset parameter, the presentation preset information including a start time and an end time,

(d) automatically determining a room by communicating with a scheduling server the availability of the preset resources based on the received presentation preset information, and

(e) sending at least one command to control at least one of the associated preset resources in response to the start time and end time, including powering on/off the presentation capture device.

20. The method of claim 19 wherein the step of sending at least one command to control at least one of the associated preset resources in response to the start time and end time includes sending a command to the presentation capture device to upload presentation capture device for live streaming.

22. A resource management system comprising:

(a) at least one processor;

(b) a memory being operably associated with the at least one processor;

(c) at least one data storage device being operably associated with the memory and the at least one processor;

(d) at least one communication interface being operably associated with the at least one processor and the memory, the at least one communication interface configured to enable communications between the information handling system and one or more user communication devices; and

;

(e) at least one program of instructions stored in the memory and executable in the processor, the program of instructions being operable to,

(i) generate an overview content page having at least eight sub-content pages, and

(ii) display in the fourth sub-content page at least one presentation preset parameter associated with a presentation, wherein the fourth sub-content page includes at least one content pop-up page to display additional preset parameters including meeting type,

(iii) accept information from a user defining a presentation,

(iv) display in the content pop-up page, one-sub content tab having a presentation preset parameter including a recording profile.
