1. A secure element comprising:

  • a secure element memory configured to maintain a near field communication (NFC) application and transaction data;

    a secure element processor configured to execute the NFC application in response to an NFC induction based trigger from an NFC terminal;

    a secure element NFC transceiver configured to transmit transaction data including an identification code associated with the user, the transaction data associated with an NFC transaction, wherein the transaction data is transmitted upon execution of the NFC application, wherein the secure element NFC transceiver is further configured to receive response information from the NFC terminal, wherein the secure element is coupled to a mobile device comprising a mobile device memory, a mobile device processor, and a mobile device transceiver;

    wherein a remote server is configured to extract the identification code, authorize the NFC transaction, and execute transfer of the transaction data to the secure element from the remote server.
