Abstract

Configuration technologies for cost-effectively monitoring indicia of regimen compliance or noncompliance in response to one or more indications of symptoms or actions or other data on data-bearing media or in wireless transmissions, such as implementing techniques for providing or preventing access or otherwise acting on or communicating incremental or definitive indicia of compliance or noncompliance.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

circuitry for obtaining first data indicating that at least a portion of a container moved, the first data signaling that a therapeutic material has been administered to a portion of a subject, the container configured to contain the therapeutic material; and

circuitry for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved.

14. The system of claim 1 in which the circuitry for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

circuitry for conditioning a regimen noncompliance determination upon a first compliance-negative indication and upon a second compliance-negative indication, the second data being the first compliance-negative indication and contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject, whether a resulting transmission occurs being dependent upon whether the regimen noncompliance determination occurs.

21. The system of claim 1 in which the circuitry for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

circuitry for distilling historical data indicative of or contraindicative of a health status transition apparently relating to an infection in an individual, the individual being the subject, the historical data including the second data, the second data contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject selectively in response to detecting the health status transition apparently relating to infection in the individual, the health status transition being a deterioration.

24. The system of claim 1 in which the circuitry for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

circuitry for distilling historical data indicative of or contraindicative of a health status transition apparently relating to an infection in an individual, the individual being the subject, the historical data including the second data, the second data indicative of or contraindicative of a health status transition apparently relating to infection in the individual.

41. The system of claim 1 in which the circuitry for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

circuitry for obtaining a regimen compliance data distillation by causing an application of one or more auditory data distillation criteria, the first data indicating that at least a portion of a container moved resulting from the application of the one or more auditory data distillation criteria to raw auditory data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved, the regimen compliance data distillation including the second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject.

68. A method comprising:

obtaining first data indicating that at least a portion of a container moved, the first data signaling that a therapeutic material has been administered to a portion of a subject; and

invoking circuitry for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved.

The method of claim 68 in which the invoking circuitry for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

invoking circuitry for conditioning a regimen noncompliance determination upon a determination that a wireless signal in a first frequency range below a reference frequency coincided with a presence of a wireless signal in a second frequency range above the reference frequency in a vicinity of a capsule, the second data contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject and containing the regimen noncompliance determination if the determination is made that the wireless signal in the first frequency range below the reference frequency coincided with the presence of the wireless signal in the second frequency range above the reference frequency in the vicinity of the capsule.

The method of claim 68 in which the invoking circuitry for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

invoking circuitry for deciding whether a status of an individual has apparently changed, the individual being the subject.

means for conditioning an output upon receiving radio-frequency energy from the container, the output being the first data indicating that at least a portion of the container moved, the output configured to invoke circuitry for generating the second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject.

107. The system of claim 105 in which the means for obtaining first data indicating that at least a portion of a container moved, the first data signaling that a therapeutic material has been administered to a portion of a subject comprises:

means for transmitting an identifier of a particular capsule in response to receiving the first data, the first data including the identifier of the particular capsule, the particular capsule being the container.

108. The system of claim 105 in which the means for obtaining first data indicating that at least a portion of a container moved, the first data signaling that a therapeutic material has been administered to a portion of a subject comprises:

means for obtaining an indication of an inhalation of a bioactive material, the therapeutic material including the bioactive material, a respiratory tract of the subject including the portion of the subject, the container being an inhaler operable to contain the bioactive material, the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved being the indication of the inhalation of the bioactive material.

110. The system of claim 105 in which the means for obtaining first data indicating that at least a portion of a container moved, the first data signaling that a therapeutic material has been administered to a portion of a subject comprises:

means for obtaining an indication whether a vessel has been ingested, the container either being the vessel or configured to contain the vessel.

111. The system of claim 105 in which the means for obtaining first data indicating that at least a portion of a container moved, the first data signaling that a therapeutic material has been administered to a portion of a subject comprises:

means for detecting whether data from one or more sensors indicate an actuation of a portion of a dispensing device, the container being the dispensing device, the portion of the container being or not being the portion of the dispensing device.

112. The system of claim 105 in which the means for obtaining first data indicating that at least a portion of a container moved, the first data signaling that a therapeutic material has been administered to a portion of a subject comprises:

means for retrieving event data relating to an individual, the individual being the subject, the event data relating to the individual being the first data indicating that at least a portion of a container moved.

113. The system of claim 105 in which the means for obtaining first data indicating that at least a portion of a container moved, the first data signaling that a therapeutic material has been administered to a portion of a subject comprises:

means for transmitting an inquiry to an individual and for selecting a compliance-negative indication if no response to the inquiry is received from the individual, the first data including a compliance-positive indication if an administration-affirmative response to the inquiry is received from the individual, the individual being or not being the subject.

114. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for conditioning a regimen noncompliance determination upon a determination that a wireless signal in a first frequency range below a reference frequency coincided with a presence of a wireless signal in a second frequency range above the reference frequency in a vicinity of a capsule, the second data contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject and containing the regimen noncompliance determination if the determination is made that the wireless signal in the first frequency range below the reference frequency coincided with the presence of the wireless signal in the second frequency range above the reference frequency in the vicinity of the capsule.

116. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for conditioning a regimen compliance determination upon a first compliance-positive indication and upon a second compliance-positive indication, the first data indicating that at least a portion of a container moved being the first compliance-positive indication and indicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject, the second data including the regimen compliance determination if the second data corroborates that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject.

117. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for conditioning a regimen noncompliance determination upon a first compliance-negative indication and upon a second compliance-negative indication.

118. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for conditioning whether a message is sent upon whether a temperature exceeds a threshold, the second data including a result of comparing the temperature with the threshold as a direct or indirect response to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved, the temperature being a measurement relating to some of or all of the subject.

121. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for distilling historical data indicative of or contraindicative of a health status transition apparently relating to an infection in an individual, the individual being the subject, the historical data including the second data, the second data indicative of or contraindicative of a health status transition apparently relating to infection in the individual.

122. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for distilling historical data indicative of or contraindicative of a health status transition apparently relating to cardiovascular disease in an individual, the individual being the subject, the historical data being the second data.

123. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for transmitting a regimen compliance determination as an actuation signal, the regimen compliance determination being the second data, the second data corroborating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject.

125. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for obtaining an indication of whether an individual remains enrolled in a program requiring a therapeutic regimen, the individual being the subject, the therapeutic material being a component of the therapeutic regimen.

126. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for signaling a regimen compliance data distillation by identifying a data distillation protocol and by causing the second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject to be generated by an application of the data distillation protocol in response to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved, the regimen compliance data distillation including the second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject.

127. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for signaling a regimen compliance data distillation by transmitting the regimen compliance data distillation, the regimen compliance data distillation including the second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject.

128. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for obtaining a regimen compliance data distillation by causing an application of one or more auditory data distillation criteria, the first data indicating that at least a portion of a container moved resulting from the application of the one or more auditory data distillation criteria to raw auditory data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved.

129. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for obtaining a regimen compliance data distillation by causing an application of one or more sensor measurement thresholds, the second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject resulting from the application of the one or more sensor measurement thresholds to a sensor measurement resulting from the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved, the regimen compliance data distillation including the second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject.

130. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for determining whether an individual is apparently compliant with a regimen targeting a portion of the individual, the therapeutic material being a component of the regimen, the individual being the subject, the portion of the individual intersecting or not intersecting the portion of the subject.

132. The system of claim 105 in which the means for signaling second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject responsive to the first data indicating that at least the portion of the container moved comprises:

means for applying a provider-specified criterion to device-detectable health-indicative data as a component of extracting from the device-detectable health-indicative data the second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject.

135. The system of claim 105, further comprising:

means for conditioning an output upon a presence of or an absence of an indication of contraband, the therapeutic material being a first drug, the contraband being a bioactive material having an adverse drug interaction with the first drug, the output including a compliance-negative indication if the indication of contraband is present, the output including a compliance-positive indication if the second data corroborates that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject.

136. The system of claim 105, further comprising:

means for obtaining an indication of when at least a portion of a vessel moved, the vessel being small enough to fit within the container, the vessel operable to include the therapeutic material, the second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject including the indication of when at least the portion of the vessel moved.

137. The system of claim 105, further comprising:

means for obtaining a test result of a sample extracted from an individual, the individual being the subject, the portion of the subject having intersected the sample extracted from the individual, the second data corroborating or contraindicating that the therapeutic material has been administered to the portion of the subject including the test result of the sample extracted from the individual.

138. The system of claim 105, further comprising:

means for receiving a wireless signal via a device in external contact with a portion of an individual from within the portion of the individual, the individual being the subject, the container being large enough to contain a capsule that includes the therapeutic material, the capsule being operable to transmit the wireless signal.

139. The system of claim 105, further comprising:

means for retrieving event data relating to an individual and event data relating to at least one of the container or the therapeutic material, the individual being or not being the subject.

means for determining whether an event occurred within a normal interval of time, the event relating to at least one of the container or the therapeutic material or the subject.
