Abstract

A temporary support device for oil well tubes and method of use. The device comprises a holding structure to be applied to the well surface casing, a holding base resting in the well'"'"'s cellar floor and sets of adjustable supporting arms connecting the holding structure and the supporting base.

Claims

1. A temporary support device for oil well tubes, that is installed in a well cellar at a well site, applied to the upper end of a well surface casing, adjacent to a tubular application device such as a well head, a holding wedge device, a holding collar device or the like as a support for said tube while operations are taking place and/or while cementation of the surrounding region is effected and set, permanently fixing said tube, said upper end of the tube being the place where tubular application devices are normally arranged, above a cellar floor at a well site, said floor being normally constituted by the upper wall of the well cellar, the temporary support device comprising:

a holding structure to be mounted around the upper end of the tube;

a supporting base capable of being placed on the well'"'"'s cellar floor;

adjustable support arms that connect said supporting base to said holding structure constituting said arms as means of positional, longitudinal and axial regulation of said casing.

2. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the adjustable support arm'"'"'s composition of sets of arms, in which each set is made up of at least one positional regulation arm and one positional fixing arm.

3. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the adjustable support arm'"'"'s composition of sets of arms, in which each set is comprised o a positional regulation arm and a positional fixing arm placed adjacent to each other.

4. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein by the adjustable support arms being composed of arm sets and wherein each arm set comprises a positional regulation arm sharing articulated linkage between the bases or gussets at the supporting base and the holding structure.

5. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1, wherein the adjustable support arms are hydraulically-driven positional regulation arms.

6. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1, wherein the adjustable support arms are mechanically actionable positional arms.

7. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the adjustable support arms are comprised of adjustable positional fixing arms.

8. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the holding structure reacts to the well surface casing or tubular walls and/or against the tubular application device.

9. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the holding structure acts on the tubular application device.

10. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the holding structure comprises at least two clamp-like hinged parts provided with closure means.

11. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the supporting base comprises at least two parts including connection means.

12. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the adjustable supporting arms engaging said base with the holding structure project from the supporting base.

13. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the adjustable supporting arms and the base are connected by linkages.

14. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the adjustable supporting arms and the holding structure are connected by linkages.

15. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the linkages are detachable.

16. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the positional regulation arms comprise corresponding hydraulic cylinders.

17. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the positional regulation arms comprise corresponding hydraulic cylinders acting independently.

18. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the positional fixing arms have longitudinal variation means and positional locking means.

19. The temporary support device for oil well tubes of claim 1 wherein the positional fixing arms have threaded longitudinal variation means nut and counter nut means for positional locking.

20. A method of using a temporary support device for an oil well tube comprising the steps of:

placing a supporting base on a well'"'"'s cellar floor;

mounting a holding structure at the an upper end of the tube;

actionable positional regulation arms until a desired position is reached;

arranging and locking positional fixing arms; and

maintaining active the temporary support device at least during a period of time for setting cementation of the tube and optional deactivation, disassembly and removal.
