Abstract

Provided is an amplifying repeater to intensify and amplify a magnetic field of electromagnetic waves. Also provided is a wireless power conversion charging device using the magnetic field of electromagnetic waves, which is located between an electromagnetic wave generating source transmitter and a receiving coil or attached to a transmitter and a receiving coil. Accordingly, charging power for various electronic devices can be provided and power can be wirelessly supplied to various loads.

Claims

1. A wireless power repeater to repeat power wirelessly transmitted from a wireless power transmitter to a terminal, the wireless power repeater comprising:

a resonant circuit configured to obtain power wirelessly from the wireless power transmitter or from another wireless power repeater, to amplify the obtained power, and to wirelessly supply the amplified power to another wireless power repeater or to the terminal.

2. The wireless power repeater of claim 1, wherein the resonant circuit comprises an induction coil and a condenser connected in parallel.

3. The wireless power repeater of claim 1, wherein the wireless power repeater is attached to the wireless power transmitter.

4. The wireless power repeater of claim 1, wherein the wireless power repeater is attached to the terminal.

5. The wireless power repeater of claim 1, wherein the wireless power repeater obtains power wirelessly from the wireless power transmitter and supplies the amplified power to another wireless power repeater.

6. The wireless power repeater of claim 1, wherein the wireless power repeater obtains power wirelessly from another wireless power repeater and supplies the amplified power to the terminal.

7. The wireless power repeater of claim 1, wherein the wireless power repeater obtains power wirelessly from a first wireless power repeater and supplies the amplified power to a second wireless power repeater.

8. A terminal configured to receive power wirelessly from a wireless power transmitter, the terminal comprising:

a resonant circuit configured to obtain power wirelessly from a wireless power repeater that is positioned between the terminal and the wireless power transmitter; and

a converter configured to transfer power to a load using the power wirelessly received from the wireless power repeater.

9. The terminal of claim 8, wherein the resonant circuit comprises an impedance matching variable condenser and an induction coil that are connected in parallel with each other to induce power using electromagnetic waves amplified by the wireless power repeater.

10. The terminal of claim 9, wherein the resonant circuit further comprises a diode for rectifying the induced electromotive force and a smoothing condenser for smoothing the rectified voltage.

11. The terminal of claim 8, wherein the wireless power repeater comprises a resonant circuit, and the resonant circuit of the terminal is configured to resonate with the resonant circuit of the wireless power repeater to wirelessly supply power to the terminal.

12. The terminal of claim 8, wherein the wireless power repeater is attached to the terminal.

13. The terminal of claim 8, wherein the load comprises a battery and the converter is configured to charge the battery with the power that is wirelessly received from the wireless power repeater.

14. A wireless power transmitter configured to transmit power wirelessly to a terminal, the wireless power transmitter comprising:

a power supply source; and

a transmission coil configured to wirelessly transmit power to a wireless power repeater that is positioned between the terminal and the wireless power transmitter.

15. The wireless power transmitter of claim 14, wherein the wireless power repeater is attached to the wireless power transmitter.

16. A wireless power transmission system comprising:

a wireless power transmitter configured to transmit power wirelessly;

a terminal configured to receive power wireless from the wireless power transmitter; and

at least one wireless power repeater configured to obtain power wirelessly from the wireless power transmitter, to amplify the obtained power, and to wirelessly supply the amplified power to the terminal.
