Abstract

The present disclosure describes an occupant information module that reports, to a third party, occupant information regarding a vehicle occupant.

Claims

1. A vehicle, comprising:

an occupant information module to maintain, in vehicle memory, occupant information for at least one vehicle occupant and report the occupant information to a third party, the occupant information comprising plural of occupant identity, occupant occupation, occupant employer, occupant socioeconomic status, occupant business address, occupant residential address, occupant interest, occupant disinterest, occupant driving history, occupant current and/or historic driving behavior and/or pattern, occupant interpersonal associations with other persons, current vehicle location, and criminal history.

2. The vehicle of claim 1, wherein the occupant information module reports the occupant information to a law enforcement authority and wherein the occupant information comprises occupant identity.

3. The vehicle of claim 2, wherein the occupant information comprises criminal history.

4. The vehicle of claim 1, wherein the occupant information is at least one of driving history, occupant current and/or historic driving behavior and/or pattern and wherein the third party is an insurance company having an insurance policy on the vehicle.

5. The vehicle of claim 1, wherein the occupant information module determines, using information received from a law enforcement database, a criminal history of an possible vehicle occupant, wherein the occupant information module compares a current vehicle location to a physical location associated with a listed criminal offender, and wherein, when the physical location is within a selected spatial distance of a current location of the vehicle when parked, a possible association between the criminal offender and the vehicle.

6. The vehicle of claim 3, wherein the occupant information module notifies an occupant of a different vehicle of the criminal history of the vehicle occupant.

7. The vehicle of claim 5, wherein the occupant information module notifies the third party of the possible association when a frequency of the vehicle being spatially proximal to the physical location is at least a selected threshold.

8. A method, comprising:

maintaining, by a processor executable occupant information module and in vehicle memory, occupant information for at least one vehicle occupant for reporting the occupant information to a third party, the occupant information comprising plural of occupant identity, occupant occupation, occupant employer, occupant socioeconomic status, occupant business address, occupant residential address, occupant interest, occupant disinterest, occupant driving history, occupant current and/or historic driving behavior and/or pattern, occupant interpersonal associations with other persons, current vehicle location, and criminal history.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein the occupant information module reports the occupant information to a law enforcement authority and wherein the occupant information comprises occupant identity.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein the occupant information comprises criminal history.

11. The method of claim 8, wherein the occupant information is at least one of driving history, occupant current and/or historic driving behavior and/or pattern and wherein the third party is an insurance company having an insurance policy on the vehicle.

12. The method of claim 8, wherein the occupant information module determines, using information received from a law enforcement database, a criminal history of an possible vehicle occupant, wherein the occupant information module compares a current vehicle location to a physical location associated with a listed criminal offender, and wherein, when the physical location is within a selected spatial distance of a current location of the vehicle when parked, a possible association between the criminal offender and the vehicle.

13. The method of claim 10, wherein the occupant information module notifies an occupant of a different vehicle of the criminal history of the vehicle occupant.

14. The method of claim 13, wherein the occupant information module notifies the third party of the possible association when a frequency of the vehicle being spatially proximal to the physical location is at least a selected threshold.

A tangible, non-transient computer readable medium comprising processor executable instructions that, when executed, maintain, in vehicle memory, occupant information for at least one vehicle occupant for reporting the occupant information to a third party, the occupant information comprising plural of occupant identity, occupant occupation, occupant employer, occupant socioeconomic status, occupant business address, occupant residential address, occupant interest, occupant disinterest, occupant driving history, occupant current and/or historic driving behavior and/or pattern, occupant interpersonal associations with other persons, current vehicle location, and criminal history.

16. The medium of claim 15, wherein the occupant information module reports the occupant information to a law enforcement authority and wherein the occupant information comprises occupant identity.

17. The medium of claim 16, wherein the occupant information comprises criminal history.

18. The medium of claim 15, wherein the occupant information is at least one of driving history, occupant current and/or historic driving behavior and/or pattern and wherein the third party is an insurance company having an insurance policy on the vehicle.

19. The medium of claim 15, wherein the instructions determine, using information received from a law enforcement database, a criminal history of an possible vehicle occupant, wherein the instructions compare a current vehicle location to a physical location associated with a listed criminal offender, and wherein, when the physical location is within a selected spatial distance of a current location of the vehicle when parked, a possible association between the criminal offender and the vehicle.

20. The medium of claim 17, wherein the instructions notify an occupant of a different vehicle of the criminal history of the vehicle occupant.

21. The medium of claim 20, wherein the instructions notify the third party of the possible association when a frequency of the vehicle being spatially proximal to the physical location is at least a selected threshold.
