1. A lighting device mountable in a socket of a light fixture, comprising:
- a housing having a first end and a second end, wherein at least a portion of the housing is transparent or translucent;
an end cap disposed on one of the first end or the second end of the housing and configured to fit with the socket; and
a plurality of light emitting diodes disposed inside and extending between the first and second ends of the housing, wherein the plurality of light emitting diodes is arranged to provide light through at least a portion of the transparent or translucent portion of the housing and the plurality of light emitting diodes is arranged in spaced apart groups of light emitting diodes such that a spacing between light emitting diodes in each group is less than a spacing between centers of adjacent groups.
