Abstract

A method for data communication is provided and may include storing multimedia data in a first database, the multimedia data being associated with enhanced metadata stored in the first database. The enhanced metadata may be created based on at least a user profile stored at a central management unit. Multimedia data may be selected from the first database based on at least the enhanced metadata, and the selected multimedia data may be modified to produce user-specific multimedia data. The user-specific multimedia data may be stored in a second database and may be communicated from the second database to a user terminal. An alarm to a user interface of the user terminal may be generated, if in producing the user-specific multimedia data from the profiled multimedia data, it was not possible to generate the user-specific multimedia data in conformance with the user specific hardware or network characteristics.

Claims

1. Method for the aggregation and the transmission of multimedia data, in which metadata (51) is assigned to multimedia data (52), a user profile (21) utilizing user information is established, multimedia data (52) utilizing the assigned metadata (51) and based upon the user profile is selected and multimedia data is transmitted from a central unit (20) to a communication device (10) of a user, in which the metadata (51) is at least partially produced through automatic analysis of the multimedia data (52) based upon the content of the multimedia data (52),

wherein the user profile (21) is at least partially generated dynamically, in which parts of the user profile (21) are able to be modified by the user and in which the user profile is stored permanently assigned to a user in the central unit (20), and

wherein content oriented and user specific optimized multimedia data are produced out of the selected multimedia data (52) by means of a repackaging module (30) under consideration of the data of the user profile (21), which content oriented and user specific optimized multimedia data is made available to the user stored in a permanent data store (41) of a content module (40) of the central unit (20) and which content oriented and user specific optimized multimedia data is able to be modified by the user.

2. Method according to claim 1, wherein the metadata (51) at least partially is generated dynamically, in which the dynamic generation at least partially is made based upon user data (211) of the user profile (21).

3. Method according one of claim 1 or 2, wherein the user at least partially manages the stored data in the user assigned data store (41) of the content module (40).

4. Method according to one of the claims 1 to 3, wherein user specific data about the network characteristics (2113) and/or data about the hardware characteristics (2114) of the communication device (10) of the user and/or data about the user behavior (2112) are stored in the user profile (21).

Method according to one of the claims 1 to 4, wherein different user profiles (21) for different communication devices (10) of the user are stored assigned to the user and the data store (41) of the user, in which the data of the user profile is at least partially determined by the user himself.

Method according to one of the claims 1 to 5, wherein the repackaging module (30) optimizes the selected multimedia data user specifically in consideration of the user data (211) in such a way that they are fitted to the requirements of the communication device (10) of the user and/or the communication connection from the central unit (20) to the said communication device.

Method according to one of the claims 1 to 6, wherein the user profile (21) comprises access conditions data, which determines a definable monetary value of a credit limit (2115) either by the user and/or the central unit (20), up to which limit an automatic billing of the retrieved, content oriented and user specific optimized multimedia data takes place.

8. Method according to one of the claims 1 to 7, wherein data about the user behavior (2112) is captured automatically by the central unit (20) and is stored to the assigned user profile (21).

Method according to one of the claims 1 to 8, wherein the user profile comprises reusable conditions data (2116) determinable by the user and/or the central unit (20), based upon which reusable conditions data (2116) the central unit (20) analyzes the user profile (21) and makes it accessible to a third party.

Method according to one of the claims 1 to 9, wherein the user determines in advance access request data (2111) of the user data (211) for a purchase of content oriented and user specific optimized multimedia data, which access request data (2111) comprises an identification of the desired multimedia data (52) and/or user specific details about the transmission of the desired multimedia data (52).
