Abstract

A cleaning cloth constructed of an upper sheet and lower sheet that are joined together for form an interior cavity into which additional cleaning cloths, cleaning materials, abrasive materials, scented materials, etc. can be placed. The cleaning cloth includes strips that can be used to connect the cleaning cloth to a mop head or other surface.

Claims

1. A cleaning cloth comprising:

a top sheet having a length and a width;

a bottom sheet having a length and width corresponding to the length and width of the top sheet;

the top sheet and bottom sheet being joined together to form an interior cavity;

one or more interior sheets being inserted into the cavity;

the one or more interior sheets causing an interior portion of the top sheet and an interior portion of the lower sheet to be defined by a ridge that transitions to a ledge corresponding to the edge of the one or more interior sheets.

2. The cleaning pad of claim 1, wherein the bottom surface of the cleaning pad has a uniformly textured surface.

3. The cleaning pad of claim 1, wherein the top surface of the cleaning pad features two uniformly longitudinal woven attachment strips.

4. The cleaning pad of claim 1, wherein said interior sheet material consists of an absorbent airlaid substrate, substantially made of cellulosic wood pulp fibers.

5. The cleaning pad of claim 1, wherein the total basis weight of absorbent material from the one or more interior absorbent sheets is from about 200 grams to about 400 grams per square meter.

6. The cleaning pad of claim 5, wherein the length and width of at least two interior sheets are equal.

7. The cleaning pad of claim 5, wherein the at least two interior absorbent sheets have the same thickness.

8. The cleaning cloth of claim 1, wherein the at least two interior sheets have the same thickness.

9. The cleaning cloth of claim 1, wherein at least one surface of the cleaning pad features one or more strips that can be used for attaching the cleaning pad to a cleaning head.

10. The cleaning cloth of claim 9, wherein the one or more strips are positioned on the interior portion.

11. The cleaning cloth of claim 9, wherein the one or more strips are positioned on the ledge.

12. The cleaning cloth of claim 11, wherein at least one strip is positioned on the ledge of the opposing side of the one or more strips that can be used for attaching the cleaning pad to the cleaning head and, the at least one strip on the opposing side is suitable for scrubbing.

13. The cleaning cloth of claim 1, wherein the top surface and the bottom surface of the cleaning pad each include two strips positioned on the ledge and the strips on one side are suitable for attachment to a cleaning head and the strips on the opposing side are suitable for scrubbing.

14. A cleaning element for use with the cleaning cloth of claim 13.

15. The cleaning cloth of claim 1, wherein the top surface and the bottom surface of the cleaning pad each include two strips positioned on the ledge and the strips are suitable for attachment to a cleaning head and are suitable for scrubbing.

16. The cleaning cloth of claim 1, wherein the top surface and the bottom surface of the cleaning pad each include two strips positioned on the ledge and the strips are suitable for attachment to a cleaning head and are suitable for scrubbing.

17. A cleaning element for use with the cleaning cloth of claim 16.
