1. A method for charging via magnetic coupling performing the functions of electrical charging of a portable electronic device (5) to be charged, called the secondary device (5), by a charging device or bench (1), called the primary device (1), comprising at least two coils (Ba, Bb, Bc;

    B(n+1), B(n+2)),the amplitude (VBn, VB(n+1), VB(n+2)) of the signal or signals received being compared to at least one reference threshold (K0.Vi;

    K1.Vi, K2.Vi, K3.Vi),the method being characterized in that;

    in a selection phase (III), the coil (Bb;

    B(n+1), B(n+2)) of the primary device (1) closest to the secondary device (5) is selected and then switched, by way of mode selecting means (33, 34), into a mode for charging via transmission of an energy flux (2), andin the selection phase (III), the coil (Bc;

    Bn, B(n+1)) of the primary device (1) located proximate this charging coil (Bb;

    B(n+1), B(n+2)) is selected and then switched, by way of mode selecting means (33, 34), into a mode for communicating information data (61, 62) so as to actuate instructions contained in these data,each coil (Bc;

    Bb, Bn, B(n+1), B(n+2)) being able to function in a mode for communicating information data or in a mode for charging via transmission of an energy flux.
