Abstract

There is provided a lighting device (100) in which at least one light source (121) is arranged to generate light. The lighting device comprises an electrically insulating heat sink element (111) onto which an electrically conducting layer (120) is arranged by means of a mechanical fastening means (130). The at least one light source is arranged in contact with the electrically conducting layer.

Claims

1. A lighting device (100) comprising:

at least one light source arranged to generate light;

an electrically insulating heat sink element; and

an electrically conducting layer;

wherein said at least one light source is arranged in contact with said electrically conducting layer, wherein said electrically conducting layer is mounted to said heat sink element by means of a mechanical fastening means.

2. A lighting device according to claim 1, wherein said fastening means is arranged for distributing a mechanical force at predetermined positions.

3. A lighting device according to claim 1, wherein said fastening means is a clamp.

4. A lighting device according to claim 1, wherein said electrically conducting layer is arranged having electrical leads arranged for powering of said at least one light source.

5. A lighting device according to claim 1, wherein said electrically conducting layer is flexible.

6. A lighting device according to claim 1, further comprising an insulating layer arranged at said electrically conducing layer.

7. A lighting device according to claim 1, wherein the insulating layer when present and/or the fastening means are reflective.

8. A lighting device according to claim 1, wherein said electrically conductive layer is arranged in said fastening means.

9. A lighting device according to claim 1 wherein said electrically conducting layer and said fastening means coincide.

10. A lighting device according to claim 1, wherein:

said fastening means is a recess, having a shape corresponding to that of said electrically conductive layer, in said heat sink element; and

said electrically conductive layer is glued to said heat sink element.

11. A lighting device according to claim 9, further comprising flexible linear electric connection means extending up to said at least one light source.

12. A lighting device according to claim 11, wherein each of said linear connection means is located on that side of said heat sink element which is opposite to the light source up to which this linear connection means extends.

13. A lighting device according to claim 12, wherein said heat sink element comprises two overlapping parts between which is defined an overlap zone, in which said linear connection means are arranged.

14. A lighting device according to claim 1, further comprising an envelope enclosing said light source and said heat sink element.

15. A lighting device according to claim 14, wherein said heat sink element is thermally coupled to said envelope.

16. A lighting device according to claim 14, wherein at least part of said heat sink element arid said envelope are one single integrated part.,

17. A lighting device according to claim 1, wherein said heat sink element comprises a ceramic material.

18. A method for providing a lighting device comprising:

providing an electrically conducting layer;

mounting at least one light source on an upper surface of said electrically conducting layer; and

fastening the electrically conducting layer on an electrically insulating heat sink element, such that a lower side of said electrically conducting layer is arranged in direct contact with said heat sink element,

wherein the step of fastening the electrically conducting layer on said heat sink element is done by means of a mechanical fastening means.

19. A method according to claim 18, further comprising providing an electrical lead pattern to, or from, said electrically conducting layer.

20. A method according to claim 18, further comprising providing an electrically insulating layer, and arranging said electrically insulating layer onto said electrically conducting layer.
