24. A system for delivering an implant comprising:
-
a catheter having a lumen; a pusher wire slidably disposed at least partially within the lumen, the pusher wire having a first engaging member; and an implant having a second engaging member; wherein (a) the second engaging member is insertable into the first engaging member, (b) the first engaging member is movable between an uncompressed configuration and a compressed configuration which applies a retentive force to the second engaging member when inserted into the first engaging member, and (c) the first engaging member is in the compressed configuration when it is in the catheter. - View Dependent Claims (25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31)

32. A method for delivering an implant, the method comprising:
-
providing a catheter, comprising; an implant having a first engaging member, the implant slidably disposed within a distal portion of a lumen of the catheter; and a pusher wire slidably disposed within a proximal portion of the lumen of the catheter, the pusher wire having a second engaging member; wherein (a) the first engaging member is at least partially inserted into the second engaging member, (b) the second engaging member applies a retentive force to the first engaging member when the second engaging member is compressed, and (c) the second engaging member is compressed when it is within the lumen of the catheter and is not compressed when it is not within the lumen; inserting a distal portion of the catheter into a patient; advancing the pusher wire distally through the lumen of the catheter, thereby expelling the implant into the body of the patient; and advancing the second engaging member distally such that it is not within the lumen of the catheter, thereby releasing the first engaging member from the second engaging member. - View Dependent Claims (33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38)
