Abstract

An image display device includes: a display that displays an image which represents a first part of information content and that switches the image to represent a second part of the information content; a detection section that detects a contacting object which contacts the display; an image switch determination section that determines whether or not to switch the image displayed on the display in accordance with operation of the contacting object detected by the detection section; a speed storage section that stores a speed at which the image is switched in the case where the image switch determination section determines to switch the image; and an image display controller that controls the display to continuously switch the image to represent subsequent part of the information content at the speed stored in the speed storage section when the image is continuously switched a predetermined number of times or more.

Claims

1. An image display device comprising:

a display that displays an image which represents a first part of information content and that switches the image to represent a second part of the information content;

a detection section that detects a contacting object which contacts the display;

an image switch determination section that determines whether or not to switch the image displayed on the display in accordance with operation of the contacting object detected by the detection section;

a speed storage section that stores a speed at which the image is switched in the case where the image switch determination section determines to switch the image; and

an image display controller that controls the display to continuously switch the image to represent subsequent part of the information content at the speed stored in the speed storage section when the image is continuously switched a predetermined number of times or more.

2. The image display device according to claim 1,

wherein the detection section detects a position of the contacting object, and

the image switch determination section determines whether or not to switch the image in accordance with variation of the position detected by the detection section.

3. The image display device according to claim 1,

wherein the speed storage section additionally stores a speed at which the image is switched in the case where the image switch determination section determines to further switch the image displayed on the display while the image display controller is continuously switching the image, and

the image display controller controls the display to switch the subsequent images at the speed additionally stored in the speed storage section.

4. The image display device according to claim 1, further comprising a demarcation determination section that determines demarcation portions in the information content in accordance with a condition,

wherein the image display controller controls the display to display information on the demarcation portions determined by the demarcation determination section.

5. The image display device according to claim 3, further comprising a demarcation determination section that determines demarcation portions in the information content in accordance with a condition,

wherein the image display controller controls the display to display information on the demarcation portions determined by the demarcation determination section.

6. The image display device according to claim 4,

wherein the image display controller controls the display to display information on the demarcation portions in a list in a first region that is different from a second region in which the image representing the information content is displayed.

7. The image display device according to claim 5,

wherein the image display controller controls the display to display images for the information content corresponding to the demarcation portions in a list in a first region that is different from a second region in which the image representing the information content is displayed.

8. An image control device comprising:

a detection section that detects a contacting object which contacts a display, the display displaying an image which represents a first part of information content and switching the image to display a second part of the information content in order;

an image switch determination section that determines whether or not to switch the image displayed on the display in accordance with an operation of the contacting object detected by the detection section;

a speed storage section that stores a speed at which the image is switched in the case where the image switch determination section determines to switch the image, and

an image display controller that controls the display to continuously switch the images to represent subsequent part of the information content at the speed stored in the speed storage section when the image is continuously switched a predetermined number of times or more.

9. An image forming device comprising:

an image forming unit that forms an image on a recording medium;

an image display that displays information on the device; and

a controller that decides an image to be displayed on the image display and that controls display of the decided image,

the image display including

a display that displays an image which represent a first part of information content and that switches the image to represent a second part of the information content in order, and

a detection section that detects a contacting object which contacts the display, and

the controller including

an image switch determination section that determines whether or not to switch the image displayed on the display in accordance with an operation of the contacting object detected by the detection section,

a speed storage section that stores a speed at which the image is switched in the case where the image switch determination section determines to switch the image, and

an image display controller that controls the display to continuously switch the image to represent subsequent part of the information content at the speed stored in the speed storage section when the image is continuously switched a predetermined number of times or more.

10. An image control method comprising:

detecting a contacting object which contacts a display, the display displaying an image which represents a first part of information content and switching the image to represent a second part of the information content in order;

determining whether or not to switch the image displayed on the display in accordance with an operation of the detecting object;

storing a speed at which the image is switched in the case where it is determined to switch the image; and

continuously switching the image to represent subsequent part of the information content at the stored speed when the image is continuously switched a predetermined number of times or more.

11. A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a program causing a computer to execute an image control process, the process comprising:

detecting a contacting object which contacts a display, the display displaying an image which represents a first part of information content and switching the image to represent a second part of the information content in order;

determining whether or not to switch the image displayed on the display in accordance with an operation of the detected contacting object;

storing a speed at which the image is switched in the case where it is determined to switch the image; and

continuously switching the image to represent subsequent part of the information content at the stored speed when the image is continuously switched a predetermined number of times or more.
