- a server having a processor coupled with a memory, and constructed and configured for communication over a network for communicating IP-based messages with power consuming devices and/or power supplying devices;
a database for storing information relating to power consumed or supplied by the plurality of power consuming or supplying devices and the amount of power available to be reduced or supplied to each of the power consuming devices and/or power supplying devices;
wherein the IP-based messages include information relating to activities by the power consuming devices and/or the power supplying devices;
and wherein the information is transformed by the system into settlement grade data corresponding to the activities of the power consuming devices and/or the power supplying devices.
