Abstract

A method of determining a pair of a target transmission node and a target reception node distributedly and concentratedly using a cooperation header in a multi-hop network performing interference neutralization, is provided. The method of distributedly determining the pair of the transmission node and the reception node includes determining whether any of other reception nodes broadcasts a pair configuration message to configure a pair between a corresponding one of the other reception nodes and the transmission node. The method further includes configuring the pair between the transmission node and the reception node based on the determination.

Claims

1. A method of distributedly determining a pair of a transmission node and a reception node in a multi-hop network performing interference neutralization, the method comprising:

determining whether any of other reception nodes broadcasts a pair configuration message to configure a pair between a corresponding one of the other reception nodes and the transmission node; and

configuring the pair between the transmission node and the reception node based on the determination.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

calculating a metric between the transmission node and the reception node;

determining a standby time of the pair configuration message based on the metric; and

broadcasting the pair configuration message to the other reception nodes and the transmission node based on the standby time.

3. The method of claim 2, further comprising:

determining the standby time of the pair configuration message using a distributed timer of the reception node that is set based on the metric.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving information about relay nodes grouped into subgroups to relay a signal for the pair of the transmission node and the reception node;

monitoring a reference signal relayed from each of the subgroups; and

measuring a link quality of each of the subgroups based on the monitoring.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the reference signal is relayed based on a time slot assigned to each of the subgroups.

6. The method of claim 4, further comprising:

receiving the information about the relay nodes grouped into the subgroups randomly or in a predetermined order.

7. The method of claim 4, further comprising:

selecting a subgroup from among the subgroups based on the link quality; and

informing the other reception nodes and/or the relay nodes about the selected subgroup.

8. The method of claim 4, further comprising:

broadcasting the link quality to the other reception nodes and/or the relay nodes; and

receiving data relayed from a subgroup selected by one of the other reception nodes and the relay nodes from among the subgroups based on the link quality.

9. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising a program comprising instructions to cause a computer to perform the method of claim 1.

10. A method of concentratedly determining a pair of a transmission node and a reception node using a cooperation header in a multi-hop network performing interference neutralization, the method comprising:

determining a codeword index and channel quality information of the reception node with respect to each of transmission nodes;

feeding back, to the cooperation header, the codeword index and the channel quality information;

receiving, from the cooperation header, information about a paired reception node of each of the transmission nodes; and

processing data received from each of the transmission nodes based on the information about the paired reception node of each of the transmission nodes.

11. The method of claim 10, further comprising:

selecting a single transmission node from among the transmission nodes;

determining an index of the single transmission node; and

feeding back, to the cooperation header, the index of the single transmission node, and the codeword index and the channel quality information of the reception node with respect to the single transmission node.

12. The method of claim 10, further comprising:

selecting a single transmission node from among the transmission nodes, for each of a multi-user multiplexing mode and a single-user diversity mode;

determining an index of the single transmission node, and the codeword index and the channel quality information of the reception node with respect to the single transmission node, for each of the multi-user multiplexing mode and the single-user diversity mode; and

feeding back, to the cooperation header, the index of the single transmission node, and the codeword index and the channel quality information of the reception node with respect to the single transmission node, for each of the multi-user multiplexing mode and the single-user diversity mode.

13. The method of claim 12, further comprising:

receiving, from the cooperation header, information about a mode selected by the cooperation header from among the multi-user multiplexing mode and the single-user diversity mode based on a predicted gain according to the multi-user multiplexing mode and a predicted gain according to the single-user diversity mode.

14. The method of claim 10, further comprising:

receiving, from the cooperation header, information about relay nodes grouped into subgroups to relay a signal for the pair of the transmission node and the reception node;

measuring a link quality of each of the subgroups based on a reference signal relayed from each of the subgroups;

feeding back the link quality to the cooperation header; and

receiving, from the cooperation header, information about a subgroup selected by the cooperation header from among the subgroups based on the link quality.

15. The method of claim 14, wherein the reference signal is sequentially relayed based on a time slot assigned to each of the subgroups.

16. The method of claim 14, wherein the information about the subgroup comprises an index of each of the subgroups, and an index of each of relay nodes included in each of the subgroups.

17. The method of claim 14, further comprising when a first cluster, comprising first relay nodes and first reception nodes, adjacent to a second cluster, comprising second relay nodes and second reception nodes, within the multi-hop network utilizes the same resource as the second cluster:

receiving, from the cooperation header, information about the second relay nodes grouped into second subgroups;

measuring an amount of interference of each of the second subgroups with respect to the first reception nodes; and

feeding back, to the cooperation header, information about the interference.

The method of claim 17, wherein the information about the interference comprises an index of each of the second subgroups, or the amount of the interference of each of the second subgroups with respect to the first reception nodes, or channel-related information of each of the second subgroups, or any combination thereof.

19. The method of claim 17, further comprising:

measuring a first link quality between the first cluster and the second cluster, and a second link quality of each of the first cluster and the second cluster, based on a reference signal received from each of the transmission nodes;

feeding back, to the cooperation header, at least one of the first link quality, and the second link quality; and

receiving, from the cooperation header, a utilization mode of a relay node that is determined by the cooperation header based on at least one of the first link quality and the second link quality.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein:

the utilization mode of the relay node comprises a first mode of individually utilizing the first relay nodes and the second relay nodes, or a second mode of simultaneously utilizing the first relay nodes and the second relay nodes;

the cooperation header determines that the first mode is the utilization mode of the relay node if at least one of the first link quality and the second link quality is greater than a predetermined threshold; and

the cooperation header determines that the second mode is the utilization mode of the relay node if at least one of the first link quality and the second link quality is less than or equal to the predetermined threshold.
