Abstract

According to various embodiments, a specific user may be determined to be located within a particular distance of a specific vehicle, and a vehicle model of the specific vehicle may be identified. Further, user ergonomic profile information associated with the specific user and the vehicle model may be accessed. The user ergonomic profile information may indicate the specific user'"'"'s preference for an adjustable ergonomic parameter associated with the vehicle model. Further, the user ergonomic profile information associated with the vehicle model may be transmitted to the specific vehicle.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

determining that a specific user is located within a particular distance of a specific vehicle;

identifying a vehicle model of the specific vehicle;

accessing, using one or more processors, user ergonomic profile information associated with the specific user and the vehicle model, the user ergonomic profile information indicating the specific user'"'"'s preference for an adjustable ergonomic parameter associated with the vehicle model; and

transmitting to the specific vehicle the user ergonomic profile information associated with the vehicle model.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

transmitting a command signal to an ergonomic control module of the specific vehicle to control an adjustable ergonomic parameter associated with the specific vehicle using the user ergonomic profile information.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the specific vehicle is to control an adjustable ergonomic parameter of the specific vehicle in response to receiving the user ergonomic profile information.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the adjustable ergonomic parameter of the specific vehicle corresponds to a position of an adjustable power seat, an adjustable power mirror, an adjustable power steering column, or an adjustable power foot pedal.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the user ergonomic profile information associated with the vehicle model is generated based on the specific user'"'"'s preference, after the specific user'"'"'s preference is received from a vehicle associated with the vehicle model.

6. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving a user preference associated with a particular adjustable ergonomic parameter from the specific vehicle; and

updating the user ergonomic profile information associated with the vehicle model of the specific vehicle, based on the received user preference.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

determining that the specific user is located within a particular distance of an additional vehicle;

identifying an additional vehicle model of the additional vehicle; and

generating user ergonomic profile information associated with the additional vehicle model, by modifying the user ergonomic profile information associated with the vehicle model of the specific vehicle based on vehicle ergonomic translation information.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the vehicle ergonomic translation information includes a plurality of translation rules, each of the translation rules being a rule for transforming a user preference associated with a first vehicle model to a user preference associated with a second vehicle model.

9. The method of claim 7, further comprising:

transmitting to the additional vehicle the user ergonomic profile information associated with the additional vehicle model.

The method of claim 1, wherein the vehicle model of the specific vehicle is determined by comparing an identification signal transmitted by the specific vehicle with a database of listings of a plurality of candidate vehicle identification signals and a corresponding plurality of candidate vehicle models.

The apparatus of claim 10, wherein the ergonomic adjustment module is further configured to transmit a command signal to an ergonomic control module of the specific vehicle to control an adjustable ergonomic parameter associated with the specific vehicle using the user ergonomic profile information.

13. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein the specific vehicle is to control an adjustable ergonomic parameter of the specific vehicle in response to receiving the user ergonomic profile information.

14. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein the adjustable ergonomic parameter of the specific vehicle corresponds to a position of an adjustable power seat, an adjustable power mirror, an adjustable power steering column, or an adjustable power foot pedal.

15. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein the user ergonomic profile information associated with the vehicle model is generated based on the specific user'"'"'s preference, after the specific user'"'"'s preference is received from a vehicle associated with the vehicle model.

16. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein the ergonomic adjustment module is further configured to:

receive a user preference associated with a particular adjustable ergonomic parameter from the specific vehicle; and

update the user ergonomic profile information associated with the vehicle model of the specific vehicle, based on the received user preference.

17. The apparatus of claim 10, wherein the ergonomic adjustment module is further configured to:

determine that the specific user is located within a particular distance of an additional vehicle;

identify an additional vehicle model of the additional vehicle; and

generate user ergonomic profile information associated with the additional vehicle model, by modifying the user ergonomic profile information associated with the vehicle model of the specific vehicle based on vehicle ergonomic translation information.

18. The apparatus of claim 17, wherein the vehicle ergonomic translation information includes a plurality of translation rules, each of the translation rules being a rule for transforming a user preference associated with a first vehicle model to a user preference associated with a second vehicle model.

19. The apparatus of claim 17, wherein the ergonomic adjustment module is further configured to:

transmit to the additional vehicle the user ergonomic profile information associated with the additional vehicle model.

11. An apparatus comprising:

a vehicle identification module configured to;

determine that a specific user is located within a particular distance of a specific vehicle; and

identify a vehicle model of the specific vehicle; and

an ergonomic adjustment module implemented by one or more processors and configured to;

access user ergonomic profile information associated with the specific user and the vehicle model, the user ergonomic profile information indicating the specific user'"'"'s preference for an adjustable ergonomic parameter associated with the vehicle model; and

transmit to the specific vehicle the user ergonomic profile information associated with the vehicle model.

20. A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium having embodied thereon instructions executable by one or more machines to perform operations comprising:

determining that a specific user is located within a particular distance of a specific vehicle;

identifying a vehicle model of the specific vehicle;

accessing user ergonomic profile information associated with the specific user and the vehicle model, the user ergonomic profile information indicating the specific user'"'"'s preference for an adjustable ergonomic parameter associated with the vehicle model; and

transmitting to the specific vehicle the user ergonomic profile information associated with the vehicle model.
