Abstract

Provisioning, managing and tracking of services provided by a cloud infrastructure system are described. A subscription order request from a customer for services provided by the cloud infrastructure system is received. A separation of roles performed by different customer entities in a customer'"'"'s organization when the customer subscribes to services in the cloud infrastructure system is determined. The roles relate to providing information about different portions of the subscription order by the customer entities. Upon completion of the assigned roles by the relevant customer entities, the subscription order is provisioned to the customer.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

storing, by a cloud infrastructure system, subscription order information related to one or more services subscribed to by a customer of the cloud infrastructure system, the service selected from one or more services provided by the cloud infrastructure system, the cloud infrastructure system comprising one or more computing devices;

generating, by a computing device from the one or more computing devices, a role assignment schema based on the subscription order information, wherein the role assignment schema identifies one or more customer entities assigned to one or more roles related to providing information about one or portions of a subscription order for the customer;

providing, by the computing device, the role assignment schema to the one or more customer entities to perform the one or more roles assigned to the one or more respective customer entities; and

enabling a provisioning, by the computing device, of the subscription order for the customer, upon completion of the assigned roles by the one or more customer entities.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein the one or more customer entities assigned to the one or more roles comprise a buyer, an account administrator, an identity domain administrator, a service administrator, a legal administrator and one or more end-users in the cloud infrastructure system.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein the role assignment schema includes information related to a nomination of the one or more customer entities by a first customer entity to provide information about the one or more portions of the subscription order.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein providing the role assignment schema to the one or more customer entities comprises displaying the role assignment schema to the one or more customer entities via one or more user interfaces provided by the cloud infrastructure system.

5. The method of claim 4 further comprising determining a status of the subscription order prior to providing the role assignment schema to the one or more customer entities, wherein the status is in an initialized state.

6. The method of claim 5 comprising updating the status of the subscription order to a ready to be provisioned state upon completion of the assigned roles by the one or more customer entities.

7. The method of claim 1 wherein enabling the provisioning of the subscription order comprises allocating one or more resources for the one or more services in the subscription order.

8. A system comprising:

one or more computing devices configurable to provide one or more services;

a memory configurable to store subscription order information related to a subscription order ordering one or more services from the set of services; and

wherein a computing device from the one or more computing devices is configurable to;

generate a role assignment schema based on the subscription order information, wherein the role assignment schema identifies one or more customer entities assigned to one or more roles related to providing information about one or portions of a subscription order for the customer;

provide the role assignment schema to the one or more customer entities to perform the one or more roles assigned to the one or more respective customer entities; and

enable a provisioning of the subscription order for the customer, upon completion of the assigned roles by the one or more customer entities.

9. The system of claim 8 wherein the role assignment schema includes information related to a nomination of the one or more customer entities by a first customer entity to provide information about the one or more portions of the subscription order.

10. The system of claim 8 wherein the computing device is configured to provide the role assignment schema to the one or more customer entities by displaying the role assignment schema to the one or more customer entities via one or more user interfaces provided by the cloud infrastructure system.

11. The system of claim 8 wherein the computing device is configured to determine a status of the subscription order prior to providing the role assignment schema to the one or more customer entities, wherein the status is in an initialized state.

12. The system of claim 11 wherein the computing device updates the status of the subscription order to a ready to be provisioned state upon completion of the assigned roles by the one or more customer entities.

13. The system of claim 11 wherein the computing device enables the provisioning of the subscription order by allocating one or more resources for the one or more services in the subscription order.

14. The system of claim 8 wherein the one or more customer entities assigned to the one or more roles comprise a buyer, an account administrator, an identity domain administrator, a service administrator, a legal administrator and one or more end-users in the cloud infrastructure system.

15. A computer-readable memory storing a plurality of instructions executable by one or more processors, the plurality of instructions comprising:

instructions that cause at least one processor from the one or more processors to store subscription order information related to a subscription order ordering one or more services from a set of services;

instructions that cause at least one processor from the one or more processors to generate a role assignment schema based on the subscription order information, wherein the role assignment schema identifies one or more customer entities assigned to one or more roles related to providing information about one or portions of a subscription order for the customer;

instructions that cause at least one processor from the one or more processors to provide the role assignment schema to the one or more customer entities to perform the one or more roles assigned to the one or more respective customer entities; and

instructions that cause at least one processor from the one or more processors to enable a provisioning, by the computing device, of the subscription order for the customer, upon completion of the assigned roles by the one or more customer entities.

The computer-readable memory of claim 15 wherein the one or more customer entities assigned to the one or more roles comprise a buyer, an account administrator, an identity domain administrator, a service administrator, a legal administrator and one or more end-users in the cloud infrastructure system.

17. The computer-readable memory of claim 15 wherein the role assignment schema includes information related to a nomination of the one or more customer entities by a first customer entity to provide information about the one or more portions of the subscription order.

The computer-readable memory of claim 15 wherein the instructions that cause at least one processor from the one or more processors to provide the role assignment schema to the one or more customer entities comprises displaying the role assignment schema to the one or more customer entities via one or more user interfaces provided by the cloud infrastructure system.

19. The computer-readable memory of claim 15 wherein the instructions that cause at least one processor from the one or more processors to enable the provisioning of the subscription order comprises instructions to determine a status of the subscription order prior to providing the role assignment schema to the one or more customer entities, wherein the status is in an initialized state.

20. The computer-readable memory of claim 15 wherein the instructions comprise instructions to update the status of the subscription order to a ready to be provisioned state upon completion of the assigned roles by the one or more customer entities.
