Abstract

In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for facilitating distributed data processing for dynamic and efficient generation of search results in a multi-tenant environment according to one embodiment. In one embodiment and by way of example, a method includes receiving, at a data processing platform, extracted data occurrences from a database coupled to a server computing device, where each data occurrence may be assigned a classification according to a category. The method may further include mapping values to the data occurrences based on classifications of the data occurrences, mapping prefixes to the data occurrences based on identifying names of the data occurrences, and generating search data based on the mapped values and mapped prefixes, where the search data may represent autosuggestions.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

receiving, at a data processing platform, extracted data occurrences from a database coupled to a server computing device, wherein each data occurrence is assigned a classification according to a category;

mapping values to the data occurrences based on classifications of the data occurrences;

mapping prefixes to the data occurrences based on identifying names of the data occurrences; and

generating search data based on the mapped values and mapped prefixes, wherein the search data represents autosuggestions.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising caching the search data at the database, wherein the database comprises a local multi-tenant database.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the search data is communicated to a client computing device over a network including a cloud network, wherein the search data is displayed at the client computing device.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein the search data is displayed as autosuggestions in response to one or more autosuggestion-based search queries placed by a user at the client computing device.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the classifications comprise one or more of contacts, titles, companies, wherein a value mapped to a company is based on a number of contacts associated with the company.

6. A method comprising:

extracting, at a server computing device, data occurrences from a database coupled to the server computing device, wherein each data occurrence is assigned a classification according to a category;

facilitating mapping of values to the data occurrences based on classifications of the data occurrences, wherein facilitating mapping further includes mapping of prefixes to the data occurrences based on identifying names of the data occurrences; and

facilitating generation of search data based on the mapped values and mapped prefixes, wherein the search data is cached at the database to be provided in response to user queries.

7. The method of claim 6, further comprising communicating, over a network, the search data from the database to a client computing device, wherein the network includes a cloud network and wherein the database includes a local multi-tenant database.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the search data is displayed as autosuggestions in response to autosuggestion-based search queries placed by the user at the client computing device.

9. The method of claim 6, wherein the classifications comprise one or more of contacts, titles, companies, wherein a value mapped to a company is based on a number of contacts associated with the company.

10. A system comprising:

a computing device having a memory to store instructions, and a processing device to execute the instructions, the computing device further having a mechanism to perform one or more operations comprising;

receiving extracted data occurrences from a database coupled to a server computing device, wherein each data occurrence is assigned a classification according to a category;

mapping values to the data occurrences based on classifications of the data occurrences;

mapping prefixes to the data occurrences based on identifying names of the data occurrences; and

generating search data based on the mapped values and mapped prefixes, wherein the search data represents autosuggestions.

11. The system of claim 10, wherein the one or more operations further comprise caching the search data at the database, wherein the database comprises a local multi-tenant database.

12. The system of claim 10, wherein the search data is communicated to a client computing device over a network including a cloud network, wherein the search data is displayed at the client computing device.

13. The system of claim 12, wherein the search data is displayed as autosuggestions in response to one or more autosuggestion-based search queries placed by a user at the client computing device.

14. The system of claim 10, wherein the classifications comprise one or more of contacts, titles, companies, wherein a value mapped to a company is based on a number of contacts associated with the company

15. A computer-readable medium having stored thereon instructions which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to perform one or more operations comprising:

receiving, at a data processing platform, extracted data occurrences from a database coupled to a server computing device, wherein each data occurrence is assigned a classification according to a category;

mapping values to the data occurrences based on classifications of the data occurrences;

mapping prefixes to the data occurrences based on identifying names of the data occurrences; and

generating search data based on the mapped values and mapped prefixes, wherein the search data represents autosuggestions.

16. The computer-readable medium of claim 15, further comprising caching the search data at the database, wherein the database comprises a local multi-tenant database.

17. The computer-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the search data is communicated to a client computing device over a network including a cloud network, wherein the search data is displayed at the client computing device.

18. The computer-readable medium of claim 17, wherein the search data is displayed as autosuggestions in response to one or more autosuggestion-based search queries placed by a user at the client computing device.

19. The computer-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the classifications comprise one or more of contacts, titles, companies, wherein a value mapped to a company is based on a number of contacts associated with the company.
