Abstract

Configuring a shareable widget interface to mobile wallet functions includes disposing a wallet module in a memory of a client device, and disposing a wallet companion applet in a secure element accessible by the client device, wherein the wallet companion applet facilitates access by at least one other applet and at least one wallet module to content that is stored in the secure element via a mobile wallet function sharable interface.

Claims

1. A method of operating a digital wallet on a mobile device, comprising:

accessing a digital wallet applet in a [secure element] of the mobile device;

executing the digital wallet applet on the mobile device;

providing a sharable interface to the digital wallet under control of the digital wallet applet; and

managing access to the digital wallet via the sharable interface by at least one of another applet executing on the mobile device and an external multi-domain computing ecosystem participant.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein managing access to the digital wallet comprises coordinating access to digital wallet resources by the digital wallet applet and at least one of a couponing applet, an over-the-air transaction applet, a service-provider personalized applet, and a payment applet.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein coordinating access to digital wallet resources facilitates a payment transaction that includes use of a coupon and at least one other form of payment that is accessible via the wallet.

The method of claim 1, wherein the external multi-domain computing ecosystem participant has access to account information corresponding to a resource of the digital wallet and wherein an identifier of the stored account information is retrieved from the digital wallet by the digital wallet widget for forwarding to the participant.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein managing access to the digital wallet comprises facilitating secure interaction with at least one participant in a multi-domain computing ecosystem for secure personalized transactions.

6. The method of claim 1, managing access to the digital wallet further comprises communicating with other applets via an application protocol data unit interface.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the digital wallet applet further provides at least two wallet management features selected from a group of features consisting of secure storage, authentication, ID management, activation control, cryptography, key generation, key storage, and PIN control.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein providing a sharable interface under control of the digital wallet applet comprises facilitating access to one or more additional wallet applets via the sharable interface.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein managing access to the digital wallet comprises managing access to secure element content via the sharable interface.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the sharable interface facilitates managed access by at least one other wallet applet to wallet-related information stored in the secure element.

11. A method comprising:

disposing a wallet module in a memory of a client device; and

disposing a wallet companion applet in a secure element accessible by the client device, wherein the wallet companion applet facilitates access by at least one other applet and at least one wallet module to content that is stored in the secure element via a mobile wallet function sharable interface.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein the at least one other applet performs a function selected from the applet function group consisting of:

couponing, loyalty and payment.

13. The method of claim 11, further comprising personalizing the wallet companion applet with a trusted security manager, and notifying a wallet server associated with the wallet to which the wallet companion applet facilitates access upon completion of the personalizing.

14. The method of claim 11, wherein the wallet companion applet is personalized by a trusted security manager prior to the disposing of the wallet companion applet in the secure element.

15. The method of claim 11, wherein disposing the wallet companion applet in the secure element comprises a trusted service manager facility configuring the wallet companion applet in the secure element along with wallet-related information.

16. A mobile wallet companion applet comprising:

a plurality of wallet interface functions comprising at least two of data storage, authentication, ID management, activation control, cryptography, key storage and generation, PIN control, and applet control;

a sharable interface adapted to controllably shared access to wallet resources with other applets;

an application protocol data unit interface for communication of wallet-related information with other applets;

a secure element interface for facilitating access to the companion applet in a secure element storage of a mobile device;

an interaction capability for facilitating secure interaction with at least one of a trusted security manager, mobile transaction platform server, and a multi-domain ecosystem for secure personalized transactions participant; and

a facility for enabling secure wallet and widget lifecycle management comprising wallet and widget authentication, wallet state and settings management, and ticket-based verification for secure authentication with a remote wallet server.
