Abstract

A method to efficiently and reliably interface of legacy modem systems not residing on the internet being transported through the internet to a non-internet modem receiving device through intelligent algorithms to support both ready reception and non-ready reception devices.

Claims

1. A method of establishing a modem connection link from any PSTN modem device comprising:

the step of connecting an ATA device to an IP transport medium;

the step of IP transport medium connected to a Media Interface;

the Media Server connected to a PSTN modem device with full data integrity,

so that there is a successful modem data delivery.

2. The method according to claim 1, wherein said modem connection link further comprises:

a guaranteed fallback recovery mechanism implemented at the sending Modem Server.

3. The method according to claim 1, wherein said modem connection link further comprises:

a method for modem protocol messaging so that of all messages are in accordance to G.711 directed standard modem messaging requirements.

4. The method according to claim 1, wherein said modem connection link further comprises:

A method for modem protocol messaging having all messages in accordance to T.38 directed standard modem messaging requirements transported through the internet.

5. The method according to claim 1, wherein said modem connection link further comprises:

the modem connection link having capabilities of initiating and terminating a modem call through the user interface from the sending modem device.

6. The method according to claim 1, whereas said modem connection link further comprises:

modem device user interactions, so that the modem device user interaction has the capability of dialing 911 for contacting the local emergency authorities.

7. The method according to claim 1 further comprising:

supporting various modem file formats transmitted from the sending modem device to the receiving modem device.

8. The method according to claim 1 further comprising:

the inclusion of standard, fine and super fine modem file formats, the inclusion of said modem file formats dependent on transmitting and receiving modem devices capable of sending said file formats.

9. A method of establishing modem connection link from any PSTN modem device, the method comprising:

connecting an ATA device to an IP transport medium (internet),

connecting a Modem Server to an IP transport medium,

connecting a PSTN modem device with full data integrity to an IP transport medium,

so that a successful modem delivery functioning in Model can be completed.

10. The method of establishing modem connection link from any PSTN modem device as described in claim 9 further comprising:

a guaranteed fallback recovery mechanism for the modem delivery, wherein the modem delivery is implemented at the sending Modem Server.

11. The method of establishing modem connection link from any PSTN modem device as described in claim 9 further comprising:

the modem delivery having all messages sent in accordance to G.711 directed standard modem messaging requirements.

12. The method of establishing modem connection link from any PSTN modem device as described in claim 9 further comprising:

the modem delivery having all messages sent in accordance to T.38 directed standard modem messaging requirements transported through the internet.

13. The method of establishing modem connection link from any PSTN modem device as described in claim 9 further comprising:

the modem delivery having the capabilities of initiating and terminating a modem call through the user interface from the sending modem device.

14. A method of establishing fully functioning synchronous modem connection link from any PSTN modem device comprising:

an ATA invention device and module, the ATA invention device and module connected to the IP transport medium (internet),

a Modem Server including a module to a PSTN modem device with full data integrity,

wherein the ATA invention device successful modem delivery functioning in Mode3.

15. The method of establishing fully functioning synchronous modem connection link from any PSTN modem device according to claim 14 further comprising:

a guaranteed fallback recovery mechanism implemented at the sending Modem Server.

16. The method of establishing fully functioning synchronous modem connection link from any PSTN modem device according to claim 14 further comprising:

all messages transmitted in accordance to G.711 directed standard modem messaging requirements.

17. The method of establishing fully functioning synchronous modem connection link from any PSTN modem device according to claim 14 further comprising,

transmitting all messages in accordance to T.38 directed standard modem messaging requirements transported through the internet.

18. The method of establishing fully functioning synchronous modem connection link from any PSTN modem device according to claim 14 further comprising:

including the capability of initiating and terminating a modem call through the user interface from the sending modem device.

19. The method of establishing fully functioning synchronous modem connection link from any PSTN modem device according to claim 14 further comprising:

a calling scheme, the calling scheme capable of tunnelling the call simultaneously through the synchronous modem connection link while providing the recipient full control of routing to the nearest appropriate PSAP.

20. The method of establishing fully functioning synchronous modem connection link from any PSTN modem device according to claim 14 further comprising:

supporting various modem file formats transmitted from the sending modem device to the receiving modem device.
