Abstract
An electronic lighting device may comprise an enclosure, a light-emitting element, a flame sheet and a swing mechanism. The flame sheet is movably supported or suspended on the enclosure, and may comprise an upper sheet which is of a flame-like shape. The upper sheet is configured to be exposed above the top of the enclosure. Light from the light-emitting element intersects with the surface of the upper sheet so that the light projects onto the surface of the upper sheet. The swing mechanism is disposed beneath the flame sheet and can apply a force on the flame sheet to actuate the flame sheet to sway or swing. By the present application, a visual experience of true fire can be achieved and an interestedness and appreciation can be improved. A method for manufacturing the same is disclosed.

16. An electronic candle comprising:

an outer shell shaped, in appearance, like a wax candle and comprising a through hole on at least one end thereof, the through hole extending between an interior and exterior of the outer shell; a flame sheet having a top portion and a bottom portion, the top portion shaped, in appearance, to substantially resemble the shape of a flame when viewed from at least one perspective, and the bottom portion having a magnet positioned at or near a lower end thereof opposite the top portion, the flame sheet further comprising a through hole positioned between the top and bottom portions; a support rod extending through the through hole of the flame sheet and movably supporting the flame sheet thereon such that the top portion of the flame sheet extends through the through hole of the outer shell and is exposed to the exterior of the outer shell; a coil positioned near the magnet of the flame sheet and energized by an electronic control circuit to produce a changing magnetic field interacting with the magnet of the flame sheet, thereby causing movement of the flame sheet; a battery compartment electrically connected with the control circuit and configured to receive one or more batteries for powering the control circuit; and a light-emitting element contained within the outer shell and positioned such that an outgoing direction of a light from the light-emitting element is projected from within the outer shell, through the through hole of the outer shell, and onto at least one surface of the top portion of the flame sheet. - View Dependent Claims (17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28)

29. An electronic candle comprising:

an outer shell comprising a through hole on at least one end thereof, the through hole extending between an interior and exterior of the outer shell; a flame sheet having a top portion and a bottom portion, the bottom portion having a magnet positioned at or near a lower end thereof opposite the top portion; a support rod operably coupled with the flame sheet and movably supporting the flame sheet thereon such that the top portion of the flame sheet extends through the through hole of the outer shell and is exposed to the exterior of the outer shell; a control circuit providing an oscillating magnetic field in which the magnet of the flame sheet is supported, the interaction between the oscillating magnetic field and the magnet causing movement of the flame sheet about the support rod; a battery compartment electrically connected with the control circuit and configured to receive one or more batteries for powering the control circuit; and a light-emitting element contained within the outer shell and positioned such that an outgoing direction of a light from the light-emitting element is projected from within the outer shell, through the through hole of the outer shell, and onto at least one surface of the top portion of the flame sheet. - View Dependent Claims (30, 31, 32, 33)

34. An electronic candle comprising:

an outer shell comprising a through hole on at least one end thereof, the through hole extending between an interior and exterior of the outer shell; a flame sheet having a top portion and a bottom portion, the bottom portion being weighted heavier than the top portion; a support rod operably coupled with the flame sheet and movably supporting the flame sheet at a pivot point thereof between the top and bottom portions such that the top portion of the flame sheet extends through the through hole of the outer shell and is exposed to the exterior of the outer shell; a swing mechanism positioned near the bottom portion of the flame sheet and, when energized, causing movement of the bottom portion of the flame sheet, the movement of the bottom portion of the flame sheet when translated through the pivot point causing movement in the opposite direction of the top portion of the flame sheet; a battery compartment electrically connected with the swing mechanism and configured to receive one or more batteries for energizing the swing mechanism; and a light-emitting element contained within the outer shell and positioned such that an outgoing direction of a light from the light-emitting element is projected from within the outer shell, through the through hole of the outer shell, and onto at least one surface of the top portion of the flame sheet. - View Dependent Claims (35)
