70. An implantable infusion device, comprising:

an infusion device housing;

first and second reservoir compartments associated with the infusion device housing;

at least one fluid transfer device operably connected to the first and second reservoir compartments; and

a fill port including first and second fluid receiving regions that are isolated from one another such that fluid flow therebetween is prevented, the first fluid receiving region being operably connected to the first reservoir compartment by a first flow path and the second fluid receiving region being operably connected to the second reservoir compartment by a second flow path.

71. An implantable infusion device as claimed in claim 70, wherein the first and second fluid receiving regions are separated from one another by a septum.

72. An implantable infusion device as claimed in claim 70, wherein

the fill port includes first and second longitudinally spaced septums;

the first fluid receiving region is located between the first and second septums; and

the first and second fluid receiving regions are separated from one another by the second septum.

73. An implantable infusion device as claimed in claim 72, wherein

the fill port includes a housing with an end wall;

and

the second fluid receiving region is located between the second septum and the end wall.

74. An implantable infusion device as claimed in claim 70, wherein the first and second fluid receiving regions are longitudinally spaced.

75. An implantable infusion device as claimed in claim 70, wherein the at least one fluid transfer device comprises a first fluid transfer device operably connected to the first reservoir compartment and a second fluid transfer device operably connected to the second reservoir compartment.

76. An implantable infusion device as claimed in claim 75, further comprising:

a first delivery lumen operably connected to the first fluid transfer device; and

a second delivery lumen operably connected to the second fluid transfer device.

77. An implantable infusion device as claimed in claim 76, wherein the first and second delivery lumens are located within different catheters.

78. An implantable infusion device as claimed in claim 70, further comprising:

a reservoir and a pressure transmissive partition located within the reservoir, the first and second reservoir compartments being located within the reservoir on opposite sides of the pressure transmissive partition.

79. An implantable infusion device as claimed in claim 70, wherein the fill port is carried by the infusion device housing.

80. An implantable infusion device system, comprising:

an implantable infusion device;

including

an infusion device housing,

first and second reservoir compartments associated with the infusion device housing,

at least one fluid transfer device operably connected to the first and second reservoir compartments, and

a fill port including first and second fluid receiving regions that are isolated from one another such that fluid flow therebetween is prevented, the first fluid receiving region being operably connected to the first reservoir compartment by a first flow path and the second fluid receiving region being operably connected to the second reservoir compartment by a second flow path;

a first needle, including a sharpened distal end portion and outlet aperture, configured such that the outlet aperture is located within the first fluid receiving region when the first needle is fully inserted into the fill port; and

a second needle, including a sharpened distal end portion and outlet aperture, configured such that the outlet aperture is located within the second fluid receiving region when the second needle is fully inserted into the fill port.

81. An implantable infusion device system as claimed in claim 80, wherein the first and second fluid receiving regions are separated from one another by a septum.

82. An implantable infusion device system as claimed in claim 80, wherein

the fill port includes first and second longitudinally spaced septums;

the first fluid receiving region is located between the first and second septums; and

the first and second fluid receiving regions are separated from one another by the second septum.

83. An implantable infusion device system as claimed in claim 82, wherein

the fill port includes a housing with an end wall;

and

the second fluid receiving region is located between the second septum and the end wall.

84. An implantable infusion device system as claimed in claim 80, wherein the first and second fluid receiving regions are longitudinally spaced.

85. An implantable infusion device system as claimed in claim 80, wherein the at least one fluid transfer device comprises a first fluid transfer device operably connected to the first reservoir compartment and a second fluid transfer device operably connected to the second reservoir compartment.

86. An implantable infusion device system as claimed in claim 85, further comprising:

a first delivery lumen operably connected to the first fluid transfer device; and

a second delivery lumen operably connected to the second fluid transfer device.

87. An implantable infusion device system as claimed in claim 86, wherein the first and second delivery lumens are located within different catheters.

88. An implantable infusion device system as claimed in claim 80, further comprising:

a reservoir and a pressure transmissive partition located within the reservoir, the first and second reservoir compartments being located within the reservoir on opposite sides of the pressure transmissive partition.

89. An implantable infusion device system as claimed in claim 80, wherein the fill port is carried by the infusion device housing.
