Abstract

A suite of testing and evaluation tools that run in conjunction with a smartphone that can be used to both enroll, and for subsequent enrollees, to gain secure access so that the program may measure, track and report on tests, including activities, that may indicate general health and wellness status. Here, the word “smartphone” includes any handheld or mobile device containing at least one processor. The smartphone can be used as the platform for this suite of tools that can include applications that run independently on the smartphone device, but can also include sensors and other data acquisition tools that can be peripheral to the smartphone and connected by wire or wirelessly.

Claims

1. An access control system comprising:

a computer application adapted to be stored and executed on a processor in a smartphone;

said application configured to allow enrollment of a participant using a first biometrics taken with a first sensor in or connected to said smartphone, or in communication with said smartphone, wherein said first biometrics is recorded in a database;

said application configured to allow the participant access to an asset based on at least a match of said first biometrics and a second biometrics taken with the first sensor or with a second sensor in or connected to said smartphone, or in communication with said smartphone.

2. The access control system of claim 1 wherein the application is configured to allow or deny the access on a further basis of a neurological condition of the participant as determined by an application executing on the smartphone.

3. The access control system of claim 1 wherein the asset is a vehicle.

4. The access control system of claim 2 wherein the asset is a vehicle.

5. The access control system of claim 3 wherein the application executing on the smartphone is configured to provide the access to the vehicle by communicating through an on-board diagnostic connection of the vehicle.

6. The access control system of claim 1 wherein said first biometrics includes facial recognition, voiceprint, spoken pass-phrase or fingerprint.

7. The access control system of claim 1 wherein said second biometrics includes kinetic testing in conjunction with voice or visual instructions.

8. The access control system of claim 2 wherein said neurological condition is determined by testing senses including visual, auditory or tactile in conjunction with measuring a reaction time to at least one requested operation.

9. The access control system of claim 2 wherein said neurological condition is determined by measuring eye movement.

10. An access control system comprising:

a computer application adapted to be stored and executed on a processor in a smartphone;

said application configured to allow enrollment of a participant using a first biometrics taken with a first sensor in or connected to said smartphone, or in communication with said smartphone, wherein said first biometrics is recorded in a database;

said application configured to allow the participant access to an asset based on at least a match of said first biometrics and a second biometrics taken with the first sensor or with a second sensor in or connected to said smartphone, or in communication with said smartphone;

wherein the application is configured to allow or deny the access on a further basis of a neurological condition of the participant as determined by an application executing on the smartphone.

11. The access control system of claim 10 wherein said neurological condition is determined by testing senses including visual, auditory or tactile in conjunction with measuring a reaction time to at least one requested operation.

12. The access control system of claim 10 wherein said neurological condition is determined by measuring eye movement.

13. The access control system of claim 10 wherein the asset is a vehicle.

14. The access control system of claim 10 wherein said first biometrics includes facial recognition, voiceprint, spoken pass-phrase or fingerprint.

15. The access control system of claim 10 wherein said second biometrics includes kinetic testing in conjunction with voice or visual instructions.

16. A method for access control system comprising:

providing a computer application adapted to be stored and executed on a processor in a smartphone;

allowing enrollment of a participant using a first biometrics taken with a first sensor in or connected to said smartphone, or in communication with said smartphone, wherein said first biometrics is recorded in a database;

allowing the participant access to an asset based on at least a match of said first biometrics and a second biometrics taken with the first sensor or with a second sensor in or connected to said smartphone, or in communication with said smartphone;

allowing or denying the access on a further basis of a neurological condition of the participant as determined by an application executing on the smartphone.

17. The method of claim 16 wherein the asset is a vehicle.

18. The method of claim 16 wherein said neurological condition is determined by testing senses including visual, auditory or tactile in conjunction with measuring a reaction time to at least one requested operation.

19. The method of claim 16 wherein said neurological condition is determined by measuring eye movement.

20. The method of claim 16 wherein said first biometrics includes facial recognition, voiceprint, spoken pass-phrase or fingerprint.
