a. a sample port having a diameter or width of from 6 to 20 mm, b. a result viewing port, and c. a slideable cover, i. wherein the cover can be moved from a first position on the test strip housing to a second position on the test strip housing, and ii. wherein when the cover is located at the first position on the test strip housing it does not cover the sample port, and iii. wherein when the cover is located at the second position on the test strip housing it does cover the sample port, and iv. wherein when the cover is moved to the second position on the test strip housing it locks irreversibly to the test strip housing.
