Abstract

Methods and systems for a vehicle system that includes synchronizing a calendar with a vehicle control system and generating a smart-alarm based on events in the calendar. A vehicle receives authorization from a device to synchronize a calendar associated with the device with the vehicle. The calendar is synchronized with the vehicle and a smart alarm is provided to a user based on an event in the calendar and a supplemental factor.

Claims

1. A vehicle system comprising:

a vehicle;

a vehicle control system coupled to said vehicle and

a communications unit coupled to said vehicle control system, wherein said vehicle control system synchronizes a calendar with said vehicle control system and generates a notice for a first user based on an event in said calendar and a supplemental factor.

2. The vehicle system of claim 1, wherein said first user is associated with said vehicle.

3. The vehicle system of claim 1, wherein said supplemental factor is based on an amount of traffic from a departure point to an arrival point.

4. The vehicle system of claim 1, wherein said supplemental factor is based on an amount of time required for said first user to arrive at said vehicle from a departure site.

5. The vehicle system of claim 1, wherein said notice is provided to a second user.

6. The vehicle system of claim 1, wherein said notice is provided to a second user based on at least one of a set of conditions.

7. The vehicle system of claim 5, wherein at least one of said set of conditions is based on said second user being one or more of a colleague of said first user, another meeting attendee, a meeting moderator, and a meeting invitee.

8. The vehicle system of claim 1, wherein said communications unit is one or more of a sensor, transceiver, or transmitter.

9. A method comprising:

receiving authorization from a first device to synchronize a calendar associated with said first device with a vehicle control system coupled to a vehicle;

synchronizing said calendar with said vehicle control system; and

generating a smart alarm to a first user based on an event in said calendar and a supplemental factor.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein said first device is associated with said vehicle.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein said supplemental factor based on an amount of time corresponding to traffic from a departure point to an arrival point.

12. The method of claim 10, wherein said supplemental factor is based on an amount of time required for said first user to arrive at said vehicle from a departure site.

13. The method of claim 9, wherein said smart alarm is provided to a second user.

14. The method of claim 9, wherein said smart alarm is provided to a second user based on at least one of a set of conditions.

15. The method of claim 14, wherein said condition is based on said second user being a colleague of said first user.

16. The method of claim 9, wherein said communications unit is one or more of a sensor, transceiver, or transmitter.

17. A computer readable medium comprising microprocessor executable instructions that, when executed, perform the following operations:

receive authorization from a first device to synchronize a calendar on said first device with a vehicle control system coupled to a vehicle;

synchronize said calendar with said vehicle control system; and

generate a smart alarm to a first user based on an event in said calendar and a supplemental factor.

18. The medium of claim 17, wherein said first device is associated with said vehicle.

19. The medium of claim 17, wherein said supplemental factor is based on an amount of time corresponding to traffic from a departure point to an arrival point.

20. The medium of claim 17, wherein said supplemental factor is based on an amount of time required for said first user to arrive at said vehicle from a departure site.
