Abstract

A communication means which allocates a terminal identifier to a destination communication apparatus and carries out communication with the destination communication apparatus by use of a plurality of functions including an identifier generation section 152 for generating different terminal identifiers corresponding to a function used and an identifier allocation section 114 having an identifier selecting section 104 for allocation to the destination communication apparatus. Using a plurality of different terminal identifiers (terminal function identifiers), a function to be used between the destination can be specified. Moreover, it is possible to optimize the size of a memory for storing information required for adaptive modulation control.

Claims

1. A wireless communication apparatus communicating with a destination communication apparatus using terminal identifiers comprising;

a receiving section to receive signals comprising information to allocate one or more terminal identifiers and communication data,

a control section to control sections within the communication apparatus based on one or more allocated terminal identifiers,

wherein the receiving section is capable of selecting a function among a plurality of functions to receive communication data,

wherein the control section searches the information to allocate one or more terminal identifiers for one or more terminal identifiers allocated to itself,

wherein the control section configures correspondence between the identifiers allocated to itself and the functions to receive communication data,

wherein the number of the functions is greater than 1, each of the numbers of allocatable terminal identifiers for one function to receive communication data is different,

the way to use flag bits received with a communication data depends on the function to receive communication data,

in case that a terminal identifier received with the communication data corresponds to the terminal identifier allocated to itself, the control section configures the receiving section depending on the selected function to receive communication data and flag bits corresponding the terminal identifier and receives communication data.

2. The wireless communication apparatus according to claim 1,

wherein one of the functions to receive communication data is a MIMO (Multi-Input-Multi-Output) function.

3. The wireless communication apparatus according to claim 2, the way to use flag bits corresponding to the MIMO function differs from the way to use flag bits for other functions.

4. A wireless communication apparatus communicating with a destination communication apparatus using terminal identifiers comprising;

a plurality of antennas,

a transmitting section to transmit signals comprising information to allocate one or more terminal identifiers and communication data,

a control section to allocate one or more terminal identifiers to the destination communication apparatus,

wherein the transmitting section is capable of selecting a function among a plurality of functions to transmit communication data,

wherein the control section selects a function to transmit to the destination communication apparatus,

and generates information to allocate one or more terminal identifiers for the destination communication apparatus, wherein the information is to be transmitted to the destination communication apparatus,

wherein the terminal identifiers allocated to the destination communication apparatus correspond to the function selected by the control section,

wherein the transmitting section transmits the information to allocate one or more terminal identifiers.

5. The wireless communication apparatus according to claim 4,

wherein each of the numbers of allocatable terminal identifier for one function to transmit communication data is different.

6. The wireless communication apparatus according to claim 5,

wherein the control section selects one function for transmission to the destination communication apparatus,

and the transmission section transmits communication data with the terminal identifier corresponding to the function selected.

7. The wireless communication apparatus according to claim 6,

wherein the transmission section transmits flag bits with the communication data,

wherein the flag bits structure depends on the function selected.

8. The wireless communication apparatus according to claim 7,

wherein the functions to transmit communication data comprise a MIMO function.

9. A communication method in which a wireless communication apparatus communicates with a destination communication apparatus using terminal identifiers, the wireless communication apparatus comprises a receiving section and a control section, the method comprising;

receiving, by the receiving section, signals comprising information to allocate one or more terminal identifiers and communication data,

controlling, by the control section, sections within the communication apparatus based on one or more allocated terminal identifiers,

selecting, by the receiving section, a function among a plurality of functions to receive communication data,

searching, by the control section, the information to allocate one or more terminal identifiers for one or more terminal identifiers allocated to itself,

configuring, by the control section, correspondence between the identifiers allocated to itself and the functions to receive communication data,

wherein the number of the functions is greater than 1,

each of the numbers of allocatable terminal identifiers for one function to receive communication data is different,

the way to use flag bits received with a communication data depends on the function to receive communication data,

in case that a terminal identifier received with the communication data corresponds to the terminal identifier allocated to itself, configuring by the control section the receiving section depending on the selected function to receive communication data and flag bits corresponding the terminal identifier and receiving communication data.

10. A communication control method in which a wireless communication apparatus communicates with a destination communication apparatus using terminal identifiers, the wireless communication apparatus comprising a transmitting section and a control section, the method comprising;

transmitting, by the transmitting section, signals comprising information to allocate one or more terminal identifiers and communication data,

allocating, by the control section, one or more terminal identifiers to the destination communication apparatus,

selecting, by the transmitting section, a function among a plurality of functions to transmit communication data,

selecting, by the control section, a function to transmit to the destination communication apparatus,

and generating information to allocate one or more terminal identifiers for the destination communication apparatus, wherein the information is to be transmitted to the destination communication apparatus,

wherein the terminal identifiers allocated to the destination communication apparatus correspond to the function selected by the control section,

wherein the transmitting section transmits the information to allocate one or more terminal identifiers.
