Abstract

A graph display device includes an expression input unit, a graph display control unit, first and second display control units and a coefficient changed graph display control unit. The expression input unit recognizes a functional expression. The graph display control unit displays a graph corresponding to the recognized functional expression in a display part. The first display control unit displays a first user interface object for changing a numeric value set to a variable when a coefficient in the functional expression is the variable. The second display control unit displays a second user interface object for changing a numeric value as a constant when a coefficient in the functional expression is the constant. The coefficient changed graph display control unit displays a graph corresponding to the functional expression in which a numeric value changed by the first or second user interface object is set as a coefficient value.

Claims

1. A graph display device comprising:

an expression input unit that recognizes input of a functional expression;

a graph display control unit that displays a graph corresponding to the functional expression recognized by the expression input unit in a display part;

a first display control unit that displays a first user interface object for changing a numeric value set to a variable together with the graph in the display part when a coefficient included in the functional expression is the variable;

a second display control unit that displays a second user interface object for changing a numeric value as a constant together with the graph in the display part in accordance with a user operation after the graph is displayed in the display part when a coefficient included in the functional expression is the constant; and

a coefficient changed graph display control unit that displays, in the display part, a graph corresponding to the functional expression in which a numeric value changed by a user operation of the first user interface object or the second user interface object is set as a value of the coefficient.

2. The graph display device according to claim 1,

wherein the first display control unit displays user interface objects respectively corresponding to a plurality of coefficients together with the graph when the functional expression includes the plurality of coefficients.

3. The graph display device according to claim 1,

wherein the second display control unit sequentially switches and displays user interface objects respectively corresponding to a plurality of coefficients together with the graph in accordance with a user operation when the functional expression includes the plurality of coefficients.

4. The graph display device according to claim 1, further comprising:

a numeric value variable range change unit that changes a range of numeric values designated by the first user interface object or the second user interface object.

5. The graph display device according to claim 1,

wherein the display part is a touch panel type display part, and

the first display control unit or the second display control unit determines a coefficient of the functional expression correspondingly to a touched part of the graph in accordance with a touch operation of a user to the displayed graph, determines a numeric value variable range of the coefficient in accordance with a range obtained by the touch operation and displays the user interface object corresponding to the determined coefficient.

6. A graph display method in a graph display device including a display part, the graph display method comprising:

recognizing input of a functional expression;

displaying a graph corresponding to the recognized functional expression in the display part;

first displaying a first user interface object for changing a numeric value set to a variable together with the graph in the display part when a coefficient included in the functional expression is the variable;

second displaying a second user interface object for changing a numeric value as a constant together with the graph in the display part in accordance with a user operation after the graph is displayed in the display part when a coefficient included in the functional expression is the constant; and

displaying, in the display part, a graph corresponding to the functional expression in which a numeric value changed by a user operation of the first user interface object or the second user interface object is set as a value of the coefficient.

7. The graph display method according to claim 6,

wherein, in the first displaying, user interface objects respectively corresponding to a plurality of coefficients are displayed together with the graph when the functional expression includes the plurality of coefficients.

8. The graph display method according to claim 6,

wherein, in the second displaying, user interface objects respectively corresponding to a plurality of coefficients are sequentially switched and displayed together with the graph in accordance with a user operation when the functional expression includes the plurality of coefficients.

9. The graph display method according to claim 6, further comprising:

changing a range of numeric values designated by the first user interface object or the second user interface object.

10. The graph display method according to claim 6,

wherein the display part is a touch panel type display part, and

the graph display method further comprising:

determining a coefficient of the functional expression correspondingly to a touched part of the graph in accordance with a touch operation of a user to the displayed graph;

determining a numeric value variable range of the coefficient in accordance with a range obtained by the touch operation; and

displaying the user interface object corresponding to the determined coefficient.

11. A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a program for controlling a computer of an electronic device having a display part to execute a display control of a graph, the display control comprising:

recognizing input of a functional expression;

displaying a graph corresponding to the recognized functional expression in the display part;

first displaying a first user interface object for changing a numeric value set to a variable together with the graph in the display part when a coefficient included in the functional expression is the variable;

second displaying a second user interface object for changing a numeric value as a constant together with the graph in the display part in accordance with a user operation after the graph is displayed in the display part when a coefficient included in the functional expression is the constant; and

displaying, in the display part, a graph corresponding to the functional expression in which a numeric value changed by a user operation of the first user interface object or the second user interface object is set as a value of the coefficient.

12. The computer-readable medium according to claim 11,

wherein, in the first displaying, user interface objects respectively corresponding to a plurality of coefficients are displayed together with the graph when the functional expression includes the plurality of coefficients.

13. The computer-readable medium according to claim 11,

wherein, in the second displaying, user interface objects respectively corresponding to a plurality of coefficients are sequentially switched and displayed together with the graph in accordance with a user operation when the functional expression includes the plurality of coefficients.

14. The computer-readable medium according to claim 11, further comprising:

changing a range of numeric values designated by the first user interface object or the second user interface object.

15. The computer-readable medium according to claim 11,

wherein the display part is a touch panel type display part, and

the display control of the computer-readable medium further comprising:

determining a coefficient of the functional expression correspondingly to a touched part of the graph in accordance with a touch operation of a user to the displayed graph;

determining a numeric value variable range of the coefficient in accordance with a range obtained by the touch operation; and

displaying the user interface object corresponding to the determined coefficient.
