Abstract

A method and an apparatus for notification of a message reception according to a property of a received message are disclosed. A first terminal receives a message transmitted from a second terminal, determines a notification method corresponding to the received message based on a result of the analysis of the received message, and then outputs a notification signal according to the determined notification method.

Claims

1. A method for notification of a message reception by a first terminal according to a property of a received message, the method comprising:

receiving a message transmitted from a second terminal;

analyzing the received message;

determining a notification method corresponding to the received message based on a result of the analyzing; and

outputting a notification signal according to the determined notification method.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the received message comprises a response message to the message transmitted from the first terminal to the second terminal and the notification method is configured by the first terminal when the message transmitted to the second terminal is created.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the notification method is configured by the second terminal after the received message is created.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein analyzing the received message comprises determining whether the received message is an urgent message through a natural language processing for the received message, and determining the notification method comprises determining that the notification method is a pre-configured urgent notification in response to an urgent message if the received message is the urgent message.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the notification method is determined based on a surrounding situation of the first terminal.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein the surrounding situation comprises at least one of a surrounding illumination of the first terminal, a level of a surrounding noise of the first terminal, and a degree of movement of the first terminal.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein a notification method using a light emitting unit is further determined if the surrounding illumination of the first terminal is lower than a pre-configured reference illumination.

8. The method of claim 6, wherein if the level of the surrounding noise of the first terminal is higher than that of a pre-configured reference noise, a level of a notification signal in a form of sound is increased and a notification method using vibration is further determined.

9. The method of claim 6, wherein a notification method using sound is determined if the first terminal is in a moving state and a notification method using vibration is determined as the notification method if the first terminal is in a stopped state.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the notification signal comprises at least one of sound, vibration, an output through a light emitting unit, and a notification message through a display unit.

11. An apparatus for notification of a message reception by a first terminal according to the property of a received message, the apparatus comprising:

a message reception unit configured to receive a message transmitted from a second terminal; and

a controller configured to analyze the received message, determine a notification method corresponding to the received message based on a result of the analysis, and output a notification signal according to the determined notification method.

12. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the received message is a response message to the message transmitted from the first terminal to the second terminal and the notification method is configured by the first terminal after the message transmitted to the second terminal is created.

13. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the notification method is configured by the second terminal after the received message is created.

14. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the controller is configured to determine whether the received message is an urgent message through natural language processing for the received message and determine that the notification method is a pre-configured urgent notification in response to the urgent message if the received message is an urgent message.

15. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the controller is configured to determine the notification method based on a surrounding situation of the first terminal.

16. The apparatus of claim 15, wherein the surrounding situation comprises at least one of a surrounding illumination of the first terminal, a level of a surrounding noise of the first terminal, and a degree of movement of the first terminal.

17. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein, if the surrounding illumination of the first terminal is lower than a pre-configured reference illumination, the controller further configured to determine a notification method using a light emitting unit.

The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the controller is configured to increase a level of a notification signal in a form of sound and determine a notification method using vibration if the level of the surrounding noise of the first terminal is higher than that of a pre-configured reference noise.

19. The apparatus of claim 16, wherein the controller is configured to determine, as the notification method, a notification method using sound if the first terminal is in a moving state and a notification method using vibration if the first terminal is in a stopped state.

20. The apparatus of claim 11, wherein the notification signal comprises at least one of sound, vibration, an output through a light emitting unit, and a notification message through a display unit.
