Abstract

An apparatus, such as a display device, may have a processor, memory storing computer-readable instructions, and a display portion. The apparatus may obtain one or more second files in response to converting a first file into the one or more second files. The plurality of second files may be obtained one by one. The apparatus may determine whether all of one or more selected files from among the one or more second files have been obtained, prior to obtaining all of the one or more second files. The one or more selected files may be a subset of the one or more second files. The apparatus may also output the one or more selected files in response to determining that all of the one or more selected files have been obtained.

Claims

1. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed by an apparatus, cause the apparatus to:

obtain one or more second files as a result of a conversion of a first file into the one or more second files;

prior to obtaining all of the one or more second files, determine whether all of one or more selected files from among the one or more second files have been obtained, the one or more selected files being a subset of the one or more second files; and

output the one or more selected files in response to determining that all of the one or more selected files have been obtained.

2. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1, wherein obtaining the one or more second files comprises receiving the one or more second files from a device that is remote from the apparatus.

3. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1,

wherein the computer-readable storage medium stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the apparatus, further cause the apparatus to convert the first file into the one or more second files, and

wherein obtaining the one or more second files comprises obtaining the one or more second files from the apparatus.

4. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1, wherein the computer-readable storage medium stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the apparatus, further cause the apparatus to:

in response to determining that all of the one or more selected files have been obtained, enable an option that, when selected, causes the one or more selected files to be output.

5. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 4,

wherein outputting the one or more selected files is further in response to a selection of the option, and

wherein outputting the one or more selected files comprises outputting the one or more selected files to a printer for printing images in accordance with the one or more selected files.

6. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1, wherein the computer-readable storage medium stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the apparatus, further cause the apparatus to:

in response to determining that less than all of the one or more selected files have been obtained, disable an option if the option is enabled, wherein the option, when selected, causes the one or more selected files to be output.

7. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1, wherein the computer-readable storage medium stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the apparatus, further cause the apparatus to:

obtain a number of the one or more second files prior to obtaining the one or more second files.

8. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 7, wherein the computer-readable storage medium stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the apparatus, further cause the apparatus to:

display, upon obtaining the number of the one or more second files, a screen comprising images that represent each of the one or more second files and that, when selected, identify a corresponding one of the one or more second files as one of the one or more selected files.

9. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1, wherein the computer-readable storage medium stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the apparatus, further cause the apparatus to:

display, upon obtaining a particular file among the one or more second files, a thumbnail image corresponding to the particular file if the particular file is selected.

10. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1, wherein the computer-readable storage medium stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the apparatus, further cause the apparatus to:

provide a cancel instruction, identifying a particular file among the one or more second files, to cancel the conversion with respect to the particular file.

11. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium according to claim 1, wherein the computer-readable storage medium stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the apparatus, further cause the apparatus to:

change a state of a particular file, among the one or more second files, in response to a user selection of the particular file;

determine whether the apparatus has the particular file upon changing the state of the particular file;

after determining that the apparatus does not have the particular file, output a conversion instruction, identifying the particular file, to request the particular file if the state of the particular file is a selected state; and

after determining that the apparatus does not have the particular file, output a cancel instruction, identifying the particular file, to cancel the conversion with respect to the particular file if the state of the particular file is an unselected state.

12. An apparatus, comprising:

at least one processor; and

memory storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to;

obtain one or more second files in response to converting a first file into the one or more second files;

prior to obtaining all of the one or more second files, determine whether all of one or more selected files from among the one or more second files have been obtained, the one or more selected files being a subset of the one or more second files; and

output the one or more selected files in response to determining that all of the one or more selected files have been obtained.

13. The apparatus of claim 12, further comprising:

a display,

wherein the memory further stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, further instruct the apparatus to;

display, on the display, a thumbnail image for each of the one or more second files in response to obtaining the one or more second files.

14. The apparatus of claim 12, further comprising:

a communication port,

wherein obtaining the one or more second files comprises receiving, through the communication port, the one or more second files from a device that is remote from the apparatus.

15. The apparatus of claim 12,

wherein the memory stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed, further cause the apparatus to convert the first file into the one or more second files, and

wherein obtaining the one or more second files comprises obtaining the one or more second files from the apparatus.

16. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the memory stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed, further cause the apparatus to:

in response to determining that all of the one or more selected files have been obtained, enable an option that, when selected, causes the one or more selected files to be output,

wherein outputting the one or more selected files is further in response to a selection of the option.

17. The apparatus of claim 12, further comprising:

a display;

wherein the memory stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed, further cause the apparatus to;

obtain a number of the one or more second files prior to obtaining the one or more second files; and

upon obtaining the number of the one or more second files, display a screen on the display, the screen comprising images that represent each of the one or more second files and that, when selected, identify a corresponding one of the one or more second files as one of the one or more selected files.

18. An apparatus, comprising:

a communication port;

at least one processor; and

memory storing computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to;

receive, via the communication port, a first file from a device remote from the apparatus;

convert the first file into one or more second files;

initiate a transmission process in which the one or more second files are to be transmitted, one by one, to the device;

receive, from the device, a cancel instruction identifying a particular file of the one or more second files; and

in response to receiving the cancel instruction, cancel transmission of the particular file to the device.

19. The apparatus of claim 18, wherein the memory stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed, further cause the apparatus to:

determine whether a request to convert a particular page of the first file has been received; and

perform conversion of the particular page into a corresponding one of the one or more second files before performing conversion of another one of the one or more second files that is unselected.

20. The apparatus of claim 18, wherein the memory stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed, further cause the apparatus to:

determine a number of pages of the first file in response to receiving the first file; and

transmit the number of pages of the first file to the device.
