Abstract

Provided is a wireless charging module which is made to be compact by a wireless charging coil and a NFC antenna being implemented as a single module, and is capable of carrying out communication and power transmission in the same direction while preventing mutual interference. This wireless charging module is provided with a charging coil (30) having wound conducting wire, and a NFC coil (40) arranged around the charging coil (30), and the axis of the charging coil (30) and the axis of the NFC coil (40) intersect each other.

Claims

1. A wireless charging module comprising:

a charging coil formed of a wound conducting wire; and

a near field communication (NFC) coil placed around the charging coil, wherein

a winding axis of the charging coil and a winding axis of the NFC coil intersect with each other.

2. The wireless charging module according to claim 1, wherein the axis of the charging coil and the axis of the NEC coil are substantially orthogonal to each other.

3. The wireless charging module according to claim 1, wherein the wireless charging module comprises a plurality of the NFC coils, wherein

the plurality of NFC modules are placed so as to sandwich the wireless charging module between the plurality of NFC modules.

4. The wireless charging module according to claim 1, wherein:

the charging coil is wound in a substantially rectangular shape; and

at least two of the NFC coils are placed along two facing sides of the charging coil of the rectangular shape.

5. The wireless charging module according to claim 1, further comprising a magnetic sheet including a face on which the charging coil is to be entirely mounted, wherein the NFC coil is placed outside the magnetic sheet.

6. The wireless charging module according to claim 1, further comprising a magnetic sheet including a face on which the charging coil is to be entirely mounted, wherein the NFC coil is wound around a magnetic core.

7. The wireless charging module according to claim 6, wherein the magnetic sheet and the magnetic core are formed of different materials from each other.

8. The wireless charging module according to claim 6, wherein the magnetic sheet and the magnetic core are formed of different kinds of ferrite from each other.

9. The wireless charging module according to claim 6, wherein an overall thickness in a stacking direction of the charging coil and the magnetic sheet is greater than a thickness of the NFC coil in a direction identical to the stacking direction.

10. The wireless charging module according to claim 4, wherein a length in a longitudinal direction of the two facing sides of the rectangular charging coil is shorter than a length of the NFC coil in a direction identical to the longitudinal direction.

11. The wireless charging module according to claim 1, wherein a number of turns of the charging coil is greater than a number of turns of the NFC coil.

12. The wireless charging module according to claim 1, wherein an opening area of the charging coil is greater than an opening area of the NFC coil.

13. The wireless charging module according to claim 3, wherein numbers of turns of the plurality of NFC coils are equal to each other.

14. The wireless charging module according to claim 3, wherein the plurality of NFC coils are an identical shape.

15. A portable terminal comprising the wireless charging module according to claim 1 inside a casing.

16. The portable terminal according to claim 15, further comprising a metal body inside the casing, wherein the NFC coil is placed at an edge of the metal body.

17. The portable terminal according to claim 15, wherein an opening portion of the NFC coil is substantially perpendicular to the metal body.
