1. A system for determining the presence of a patient'"'"'s cardiac abnormalities by evaluating T waves from their ECG waveform, comprising:

  • a database comprising a set of data fields collected from a plurality of patients, with each data field in the set corresponding to an individual patient and including a T wave extracted from an ECG waveform and a parameter indicating the presence of a cardiac abnormality in the patient;

    an ECG-analysis algorithm configured to process the ECG waveform in each data field to extract a set of parameters corresponding to the T wave, and correlate the set of parameters to the parameter indicating the presence of a cardiac abnormality in the patient;

    an averaging algorithm configured to processes multiple data fields, with each data field corresponding to an individual patient, the averaging algorithm further configured to determine an average correlation factor mapping the set parameters corresponding to the T wave to the parameter indicating the presence of a cardiac abnormality in the patient;

    an ECG-measuring system configured to measure an ECG waveform from a given patient and then transmit a numerical representation of the ECG waveform to the database; and

    a correlation algorithm configured to evaluate the presence of a cardiac abnormality in the given patient by extracting a new set of parameters from the T wave in the ECG waveform measured by the ECG-measuring system, and then comparing the new set of parameters to the average correlation factor to estimate a new parameter indicating the presence of a cardiac abnormality in the patient.
