Abstract

A system and method for allocating drivers to procure targets, such as automobiles. These targets are then transported to a desired drop-off destination. The entire system is automated, such that a requestor may hire drivers that are certified by the system and would satisfy requirements associated with the target, such as proper driver'"'"'s license and location of the driver relative to the target. The system is powered by an internet based mobile application that is designed to match individual drivers to auto dealers, auction houses, driving transport companies and other businesses and individuals (“requestors”) seeking to move automobiles, goods, services, tasks, etc. from one location to another. The system has been designed to find, organize, and manage drivers and all aspects of the trip on a real time basis and reduce the cost of the existing system.

Claims

1. A travel system comprising:

a computer network allowing wireless communication among a plurality of computing devices through wireless communications;

a first computing device associated with the resource, said first computing device including a CPU, data storage, a GNSS antenna and receiver, and a camera, said first computing device being connected to said computer network;

a remote server having a CPU and data storage containing a central database, said server being connected to said computer network;

resource allocation service software stored on said remote server, said resource allocation service software accessible via said computer network;

a tag associated with the resource; and

a tag code associated with the requestor and transmitted via said computer network from said second computing device to said first computing device, and from said first computing device to said tag.

2. The system according to claim 1, wherein said tag code is generated by a State agency in compliance with State laws.

3. The system according to claim 1, further comprising a second computing device associated with the requestor, said second computing device including a CPU, and data storage, said second computing device being connected to said computer network.

4. The system according to claim 1, wherein said tag comprises a tag body enclosed within a tamper-proof shell.

5. The system according to claim 4, wherein said tag further includes a solar array element for recharging said rechargeable battery power source.

6. The system according to claim 4, wherein said tag further includes a toll-paying device capable of wirelessly communicating with road toll stations.

7. The system according to claim 4, wherein said tag further includes a graphical display electrically connected to a power source.

8. The system according to claim 7, wherein said graphical display displays said tag code.

9. The system according to claim 4, wherein said tag further includes a communications antenna.

10. The system according to claim 9, further comprising:

wherein said tag further includes a global navigational satellite system (GNSS) receiver; and

said communications antenna is capable of receiving and transmitting GNSS signals.

11. The system according to claim 10, further comprising:

a second computing device associated with the requestor, said second computing device including a CPU, and data storage, said second computing device being connected to said computer network; and

said second computing device wirelessly in communication with said tag via said communications antenna.

12. The system according to claim 4, wherein said tag further includes a scannable identification code physically imprinted on the tag.

13. A computer-implemented method of communicating with a traveling vehicle during a trip, the method comprising the steps:

registering a provider with a resource tracking service, wherein said resource tracking service comprises a central computer comprising a CPU, a Graphical User Interface (GUI), data storage containing a central database, and is connected to a computer network; and

wherein said provider is associated with a first computing device comprising a CPU, data storage, and wherein said first computing device is connected to said computer network;

said provider possessing a resource;

associating said resource with a tag comprising a graphical display face, a CPU, data storage, a rechargeable battery power source, and an antenna;

generating a tag code and associating said tag code with said resource;

transmitting said tag code across a wireless network from said first computing device to said second computing device;

transmitting said tag code from said second computing device to said tag; and

ending the trip.

14. The computer-implemented method according to claim 13, wherein said tag includes a solar array element for recharging said rechargeable battery power source.

15. The computer-implemented method according to claim 13, wherein:

said provider is a vehicle rental entity having a stock of vehicles for rent; and

said resource is a vehicle selected from said stock of vehicles for rent.

16. The computer-implemented method according to claim 13, further comprising the steps:

receiving said tag code from said provider; and

displaying said tag code on said graphical display face of said tag.

17. The computer-implemented method according to claim 16, further comprising the steps:

receiving a second tag code from said provider;

updating said tag code to said second tag code; and

displaying said second tag code on said graphical display face of said tag.

18. The computer-implemented method according to claim 13, further comprising the steps:

associating a scannable identification code with said tag;

associating said resource with a second computing device comprising a CPU, a GUI, data storage, a GNSS antenna and receiver, a camera, said second computing device connected to said computer network; and

certifying said resource with said resource tracking service, by scanning said scannable identification code with said second computing device.
