Abstract

The present invention provides an interface application enabling multi-functionality of a specific area part of an interface in a computerized device. The interface comprised of: at least one touch enabled surface, where in at least partial area surface is integrated with at least one fingerprint sensor for capturing at least part of distinguishing ridges and valleys of the touching fingertip touching a specific area, a processing module arranged to analyze said distinguishing ridges and valleys of the touching fingertip, for identifying characteristic of the specific touching finger differentiating said finger from other fingers of the same user (either from the same of both hands), and an activation module for determining the functionality of said specified area based on the identified touching finger(s).

Claims

1. An interface application enabling multi-functionality of a specific area part of an interface in a computerized device, said interface comprising:

at least one touch enabled surface, wherein at least partial area surface is integrated with at least one fingerprint sensor for capturing at least part of distinguishing ridges and valleys of the touching fingertip touching a specific area;

a processing module arranged to analyze said distinguishing ridges and valleys of the touching fingertip for identifying characteristic of the specific touching finger differentiating said finger from other fingers of the same user and;

an activation module for determining the functionality of said specified area based on the identified finger.

2. The interface of claim 1 wherein the functionality is determined according to combination of identification of different finger prints touching the touch surface, said different fingerprints relating different fingers of the user hand.

3. The interface of claim 2 wherein the different fingers prints touching is identified at the same time.

4. The interface of claim 2 wherein the different fingers prints touching is sequence of identified touching operation, wherein determining the functionality is further based on the order of the sequence.

5. The interface of claim 1 wherein the finger print touching operation is continuous operation.

6. The interface of claim 1 wherein the touch enabled surface is a wearable surface.

7. The interface of claim 1 wherein the touch screen surface includes a virtual button.

8. The interface of claim 3, wherein the virtual button includes at least two symbols, wherein each symbol corresponds to a different functionality of the virtual button.

9. The interface of claim 7 wherein the symbol order on the screen corresponds to order of the touching fingers of the user'"'"'s hand.

18. The method of claim 1 wherein the finger print touching operation is a continuous operation.

19. The interface of claim 1 wherein the touch enabled surface is any computerized wearable surface.

10. A method for enabling multi-functionality of a specific area part of an interface in a computerized device, said method comprising the steps of:

receiving indication of touching touch enabled surface specified area surface by a user and capturing at least part of distinguishing ridges and valleys of the touching fingertip with said touch screen specific area, by a sensor, said sensor is integrated within the touch screen area surface;

analyzing said distinguishing ridges and valleys of the touching fingertip for identifying characteristic of the specific touching finger differentiating said finger from other fingers of the same user, said analysis carried out in said computerized device

determining the functionality of said at least one specified area based on the identified finger; and

activating determined functionality of said specified area by the computerized device.

11. The method of claim 10 wherein the specific area is a virtual button within a touch screen.

12. The method of claim 10 wherein the sensor is an optical sensor, which enables to capture finger prints wherein the characteristics are at least part of the distinguishing ridges and valleys of the touching finger.

13. The method of claim 10 wherein the specific area includes at least two symbols, wherein each symbol corresponds to a different functionality of the specific area.

The method of claim 10 further comprising of a step of applying an one-time initialization process for the sensor to recognize and store the different fingerprint templates of the same user, wherein based on this initialization process, the activation module determines the functionality of the touching finger based only on the running application features.

15. The method of claim 10 wherein the functionality is determined according to combination of identification of different finger prints touching the touch surface, said different fingerprints relating different fingers of the user'"'"'s same of both hands.

16. The method of claim 10 wherein the different finger print touching is identified at the same time.

17. The method of claim 10 wherein the different finger prints touching in a time sequence of identified touching operation.
