Abstract

The invention provides a system, a method and a computer program product that facilitate access to one or more applications by a computing device. The invention includes determining one or more contexts associated with at least one of the computing device and a user of the computing device, such that the one or more contexts describe at least one of an environment and an activity of the at least one of the user and the computing device. Thereafter at least one contextual tag corresponding to the one or more contexts is generated. Subsequently, the one or more applications associated with the at least one contextual tag are identified and the computing device is enabled to access the one or more applications.

Claims

1. A client device for providing services, said client device comprising:

a. at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having a computer-readable program stored therein, said computer-readable program comprising sets of instructions executable by a processor associated with said client device;

b. said computer-readable program comprising sets of instructions when executed by said processor enables said client device to at least;

i. associate said client device with a provider device;

ii. enable installation of at least one application on said client device;

iii. provide a first plurality of information to said provider device, said first plurality of information comprising at least one of;

a first application identification information that can be used in identifying a first application from said at least one application installed on said client device;

a simple information determined based on information stored on a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium associated with said client device;

information determined based on execution of at least one instruction associated with an application on said client device;

c. receive a second plurality of information from said provider device, wherein;

at least a portion of said second plurality of information is determined based on information comprising at least a portion of said first plurality of information;

at least a portion of said second plurality of information can be used to at least one of determine a second application, access said second application and execute a set of instructions associated with said second application, said second application can be same as or different from said first application; and

d. enable at least one of determination of said second application, access said second application and execution of a set of instructions associated with said second application.

The client device of claim 1, wherein at least one of said first application and said second application can be from a repository of one or more applications installed on said client device, said repository can have applications added to or removed from it, when said client device is not associated with said provider device.

3. The client device of claim 1, wherein at least one of said first application and said second application further comprise instructions to enable playing of audio on an audio device associated with said client device.

4. The client device of claim 1, wherein at least one of said first application and said second application further comprise instructions to enable display of information or playing of video on a display associated with said client device.

5. The client device of claim 1, wherein said client device associates with said provider device using at least one of a wired communication technology, a wireless communication technology, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other communication technologies.

6. The client device of claim 1, wherein said client device is one of a smart phone, a tablet, a smart device, a mobile device, a laptop, a desktop and a gaming console.

The client device of claim 1, wherein said client device receives at least a portion of said second plurality of information due to a user interaction event on said provider device, said user interaction event is due to a user accessing user interface elements associated with said provider device, said user interface elements comprising at least one of a touch screen, a physical button, a touch pad, a scroll wheel, a mouse, a key pad, an audio input device, an audio output device, a video input device, a display, a bar code reader and a switch.

The client device of claim 1, wherein said client device provides at least a portion of said first plurality of information to said provider device using at least one of a wired communication technology, a wireless communication technology, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other communication technologies.

9. A provider device for providing access to services, said provider device comprising:

a. at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having a computer-readable program stored therein, said computer-readable program comprising sets of instructions executable by a processor associated with said provider device;

b. said computer-readable program comprising sets of instructions when executed by said processor enables said provider device to at least;

i. associate said provider device with a client device;

ii. receive a first plurality of information from said client device, said first plurality of information comprising at least one of;

a first application identification information that can be used in identifying a first application installed on said client device;

a simple information determined based on information stored on a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium associated with said client device;

information determined based on execution of at least one instruction associated with an application on said client device;

iii. determine a second plurality of information, based on information comprising at least a portion of said first plurality of information; and

iv. provide said second plurality of information to said client device, providing said second plurality of information enables said client device to;

at least one of determine a second application, access said second application and execute a set of instructions associated with said second application, said second application can be same as or different from said first application.

10. The provider device of claim 9, wherein said provider device further comprises at least one of an audio device, an audio speaker and a microphone, capable of processing audio sent to or received from said client device.

11. The provider device of claim 9, wherein said provider device further comprises a display capable of displaying information or playing video associated with said client device.

12. The provider device of claim 9, wherein at least one of determining and providing said second plurality of information can be enabled due to a user interacting with user interface elements associated with said provider device.

13. The provider device of claim 12, wherein said user interface elements comprise at least one of a touch screen, a physical button, a touch pad, a scroll wheel, a mouse, a key pad, an audio input device, an audio output device, a video input device, a display, a bar code reader and a switch.

14. The provider device of claim 9, wherein said provider device associates with said client device using at least one of a wired communication technology, a wireless communication technology, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other communication technologies.

15. The provider device of claim 9, wherein said provider device is one of a smart phone, a tablet, a smart device, a mobile device, a laptop, a desktop and a gaming console.

16. A provider device for providing access to services, said provider device comprising:

a. at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having a computer-readable program stored therein, said computer-readable program comprising sets of instructions executable by a processor associated with said provider device;

b. said computer-readable program comprising sets of instructions when executed by said processor enables said provider device to at least;

i. enable installation of at least one provider application on said provider device, said at least one provider application selected from a repository comprising at least one of;

a first plurality of provider applications comprising provider applications corresponding to a plurality of application providers or a plurality of application managers;

a second plurality of provider applications comprising provider applications that are at least one of updated, modified, added to and deleted from said repository over a period of time;

a third plurality of provider applications;

ii. associate said provider device with a client device;

iii. enable storing of a first plurality of information on a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium associated with said provider device, storing of said first plurality of information enables said provider device to at least;

determine a second plurality of information based on at least a portion of said first plurality of information; and

provide said second plurality of information to said client device, wherein providing said second plurality of information to said client device enables said client device to at least one of determine, access and install one or more client applications on said client device.

17. The provider device of claim 16, wherein said first plurality of information comprises Information related to at least a portion of said one or more client applications.

18. The provider device of claim 16, wherein said second plurality of information comprises Information related to at least a portion of said one or more client applications.

19. The provider device of claim 16, wherein said provider device associates with said client device using at least one of a wired communication technology, a wireless communication technology, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other communication technologies.

20. The provider device of claim 16, wherein said provider device is one of a smart phone, a tablet, a smart device, a mobile device, a laptop, a desktop and a gaming console.

The provider device of claim 16, wherein said provider device provides at least a portion of said second plurality of information to said client device using at least one of a wired communication technology, a wireless communication technology, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other communication technologies.

22. A client device for providing services, said client device comprising:

a. at least one non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having a computer-readable program stored therein, said computer-readable program comprising sets of instructions executable by a processor associated with said client device;

b. said computer-readable program comprising sets of instructions when executed by said processor enables said client device to at least;

i. associate said client device with a provider device, said provider device capable of at least enabling installation of at least one provider application on said provider device, said at least one provider application selected from a repository comprising at least one of;

a first plurality of provider applications comprising provider applications corresponding to a plurality of application providers or a plurality of application managers;

a second plurality of provider applications comprising provider applications that are at least one of updated, modified, added to and deleted from said repository over a period of time;

a third plurality of provider applications;

ii. receive a first plurality of information from said provider device, at least a portion of said first plurality of information is determined based on at least a portion of a second plurality of information stored on a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium associated with said provider device; and

iii. enable at least one of determination, access and installation of one or more client applications on said client device, based on at least a portion of said first plurality of information.

23. The client device of claim 22, wherein said first plurality of information comprises at least a portion of said one or more client applications.

24. The client device of claim 22, wherein said client device associates with said provider device using at least one of a wired communication technology, a wireless communication technology, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other communication technologies.

25. The client device of claim 22, wherein said client device is one of a smart phone, a tablet, a smart device, a mobile device, a laptop, a desktop and a gaming console.

26. The client device of claim 22, wherein said client device receives at least a portion of said first plurality of information using at least one of a wired communication technology, a wireless communication technology, USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other communication technologies.
