Abstract

A method and system for managing multiple displays, including receiving a first indication to allow movement of an object between a first display and a second display, allowing movement of the object between the first display and the second display in view of the first indication, receiving a second indication to prevent movement of the object between the first display to the second display, and preventing movement of the object between the first display and the second display in view of the second indication.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

receiving, by a processing device, a first indication to allow movement of an object between a first display of a plurality of displays and a second display of the plurality of displays;

allowing, by the processing device, movement of the object between the first display and the second display in view of the first indication;

receiving, by the processing device, a second indication to prevent movement of the object between the first display and the second display; and

preventing, by the processing device, movement of the object between the first display and the second display in view of the second indication.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the object is a cursor.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the first indication is a pressing down of a first key on an input device.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein movement of the object between the first display and the second display is allowed while the first key is held down.

5. The method of claim 3, wherein the second indication is a releasing of the first key.

6. The method of claim 3, wherein the second indication is a pressing down of a second key on the input device.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the first indication is a selection of a button displayed on the first display.

8. A system comprising:

a memory; and

a processing device coupled to the memory to;

receive a first indication to allow movement of an object between a first display of a plurality of displays and a second display of the plurality of displays;

allow movement of the object between the first display and the second display in view of the first indication;

receive a second indication to prevent movement of the object between the first display and the second display; and

prevent movement of the object between the first display and the second display in view of the second indication.

9. The system of claim 8, wherein the object is a cursor

10. The system of claim 8, wherein the first indication is a pressing down of a first key on an input device.

11. The system of claim 10, wherein movement of the object between the first display and the second display is allowed while the first key is held down.

12. The system of claim 10, wherein the second indication is a releasing of the first key.

13. The system of claim 10, wherein the second indication is a pressing down of a second key on the input device.

14. The system of claim 13, wherein the first indication is a selection of a button displayed on the first display.

15. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions that, when executed by a computer system, cause the computer system to perform a set of operations comprising:

receiving a first indication to allow movement of an object between a first display of a plurality of displays and a second display of the plurality of displays;

allowing movement of the object between the first display and the second display in view of the first indication;

receiving a second indication to prevent movement of the object between the first display and the second display; and

preventing movement of the object between the first display and the second display in view of the second indication.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the object is a cursor.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the first indication is a pressing down of a first key on an input device.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 17, wherein movement of the object between the first display and the second display is allowed while the first key is held down.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 17, wherein the second indication is a releasing of the first key.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 17, wherein the second indication is a pressing down of a second key on the input device.
