Abstract

Embodiments are also provided for displaying an image capturing mode and a content viewing mode. In some embodiments, one or more live images may be received from an image capturing component on a mobile device. A user interface may display the live images on a touch-sensing display interface of the mobile device. A first gesture may also be detected with the touch-sensing display interface. In response to detecting the first gesture, at least a portion of a collection of content items may be displayed within a first region of the user interface, and/or the one or more live images may be displayed within a second region of the user interface.

Claims

1. A method, comprising:

receiving at least one live image from an image capturing component on a user device;

displaying a user interface including the live image on a display interface of the user device;

detecting a first gesture with the display interface; and

displaying, in response to the first gesture;

a collection of content items within a first region of the user interface; and

the at least one live image within a second region of the user interface.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

detecting a second gesture with the display interface, the second gesture capturing one or more of;

a first image, a first set of continuous images, or a first video from the received at least one live image; and

placing the one or more of the first image, the first set of continuous images, and the first video in the collection of content items.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the collection of content items automatically synchronizes with an authorized account on a content management system.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the collection of content items comprise content items displayed in a grid-like format within the first region of the user interface.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the collection of content items comprise one or more of:

photographs;

multi-frame photographs;

videos;

collections of photographs;

or

collections of videos.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein:

the image capturing component comprises a camera; and

the at least one live image displayed within the user interface is an output from the camera.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the first gesture comprises one or more of a flick, a drag, a swipe, a lasso, a vocal command, a long press, a hover gesture, or a tap.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein:

the collection of content items is displayed in a grid; and

the collection of content items comprises a first row of the grid.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein each content item of the collection of content items comprises a collection of content items.

10. A non-transitory computer readable medium containing instructions that, when executed by at least one processor of a user device, cause the user device to:

receive at least one live image from an image capturing component on the user device;

determine that a portion of the at least one image includes at least one contact of a user of the user device;

display a user interface comprising the at least one live image and a listing of collections of content items on a display interface of the user device, wherein each collection of content items within the listing comprises at least one image of the at least one contact;

detect a first gesture with the display interface selecting a first collection of content items from the listing; and

display, in response to the first gesture, the at least one live image and at least a portion of the first collection of content items, within the user interface.

11. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 10, wherein the listing of collections of content items comprises an ordered listing based on an amount of images of the at least one contact within each collection.

12. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 10, wherein the user interface comprises displaying the listing of collections of content items on a side of the user interface.

13. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 12, wherein:

the listing of collections of content items comprises a title corresponding to each collection of content items; and

the title corresponding to each collection of content items comprises substantially transparent font.

14. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 10, wherein the listing comprises the various collections of content items listed using one or more of a title, an icon, a thumbnail image, or an amount of images of the at least one contact within each collection of content items.

15. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 10, wherein:

each collection of content items within the listing comprises thumbnail images for each content item within the corresponding collection; and

each thumbnail image within the corresponding collection of content items comprises at least one content item viewable via a second gesture being performed.

16. The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 10, when executed by the at least one processor of the user device, further causes the user device to:

detect a second gesture with the display interface, the second gesture capturing a first image from the at least one live image and placing the first image in the first collection of content items.

17. A system comprising:

at least one processor;

at least one image capturing component;

a display interface; and

memory containing instructions that, when executed, cause the at least one processor to;

receive at least one live image from the at least one image capturing component;

display a user interface including the at least one live image on the display interface;

detect a first gesture with the display interface capturing one or more of a first image and a first video using the at least one capturing component;

detect a second gesture with the display interface;

display, in response to the second gesture, at least;

the at least one live image within a first region of the user interface; and

a collection of applications within a second region of the user interface, wherein one or more of the first image or the first video are placed in at least one application of the collection of applications.

18. The system of claim 17, wherein the at least one application enables a user to share one or more of the first image or the first video using the at least one application.

19. The system of claim 17, wherein the collection of applications comprise applications selected by a user.

20. The system of claim 17, wherein the first gesture comprises one or more of:

a tap, a long press, or an audio command.

21. The system of claim 17, wherein the second gesture comprises one or more of:

a swipe, a flick, a hover gesture, a hand wave, a drag, or a finger roll.

22. A system comprising:

memory;

at least one image capturing component;

a display interface; and

at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor is operable to display a user interface on the display interface comprising;

a first region comprising at least one live image received from the at least one image capturing component;

a button operable to capture one or more of an image or a video from the at least one live image; and

a second region comprising a collection of content items stored in one or more of the memory or externally on a content management system, wherein the collection of content items is displayed within the user interface in one or more of a grid-view and a list-view.

24. The system of claim 23, wherein the button comprises a virtual button displayed on the user interface within one of the first region or the second region.

25. The system of claim 23, wherein the user interface further comprises:

a third region comprising the button.
