Abstract

The present specification relates to a communication method and a communication device, and a random access method of a user equipment (UE), according to one embodiment of the present specification, comprises the steps of sensing a random access trigger in a connected state; determining the type of the random access trigger when the random access trigger is sensed; and performing congestion control if the type of the random access trigger is a preset type.

Claims

1. A random access method of a User Equipment (UE), the method comprising:

detecting a random access trigger in a connected state;

checking a type of the random access trigger;

performing, when the random access trigger is a predetermined type, congestion control.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

performing, when the random access trigger is a predetermined type, the congestion control; and

performing, when the random access trigger is for uplink transmission, the congestion control.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein performing the congestion control comprises performing, when a serving base station of the UE broadcasts congestion control information and the random access trigger is for uplink transmission, the congestion control.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein broadcasting, at the serving base station of the UE, the congestion control information and performing, when the random access trigger is for uplink transmission, the congestion control comprises:

extracting a threshold value from the congestion control information;

generating a random real number equal to or greater than 0 and equal to less than 1; and

starting random access procedure according to a result of comparison between the random real number and the threshold value.

5. A User Equipment (UE) which performs random access, the UE comprising:

a controller configured to detect a random access trigger in a connected state, check a type of the random access trigger, and perform, when the random access trigger is a predetermined type, congestion control.

6. The UE of claim 5, wherein the controller performs, when the random access trigger is for uplink transmission, the congestion control.

7. The UE of claim 5, wherein the controller performs, when a serving base station of the UE broadcasts congestion control information and the random access trigger is for uplink transmission, the congestion control.

8. The UE of claim 7, wherein the controller extracts a threshold value from the congestion control information, generates a random real number equal to or greater than 0 and equal to less than 1, and starts random access procedure according to a result of comparison between the random real number and the threshold value.

9. A communication method of a base station, the method comprising:

broadcasting congestion control information for use in a random access procedure of a User Equipment (UE) in a connected state,

the congestion control information comprising a threshold value to be compared with a value generated randomly for determining whether the UE in the connected state performs the random access procedure for uplink transmission.

10. A base station comprising:

a communication unit configured to broadcast congestion control information for use in a random access procedure of a User Equipment (UE),

the congestion control information comprising a threshold value to be compared with a value generated randomly for determining whether the UE in the connected state performs the random access procedure for uplink transmission.
